Gateway to Cold Himalayan Desert.

IMG_1655.jpeg Julley Everyone,

Just wondering around somewhere around 150 km is away from Keylong where we just ended up in this beautiful hidden corner and that was the gateway to the Ladakh region of Himalayas. It was really the portion where we were getting kind of feeling that we were entering the cold himalayan desert beyond the higher altitudes, and we were somewhere closer to this beautiful place called Nakee La Mountain Pass. "La" in the local language ment Pass. At certain points, we were away from the network zone and beyond the spot hardly will get any sort of cellular network or any Wi-Fi. So all that we had what is memories and these photographs that I have captured beyond and rest. What is the journey that I'm going to share with you guys through this post.

IMG_1656.jpeg At the moment we were all alone just wondering around between this and less chance of mountains. It really felt like that we ended up totally what is whole lot of a different world where we found out trees, no soil even all that we had. Was this sand all around and the mountains just formed up like they were just all made up of sand and all they had been into these different structures altogether that this kind of look something just like this, this place was beyond the imagination.

I would say my friends as I could hardly see any sort of vegetation or any sort of moments that just look like that they were earthly. It was really a whole lot of a different experience that I had on when I was at this place the place due to it geographical location as it was present just beyond the Himalayas thus making this place the cold himalayan desert, hardly any clouds that this usually carry the moisture would just bring a precipitation at this place. Thus making this place a landlocked position where heart is the place rains, all the clouds that they were at the place was just all dry.

The GPS Location Pointed to the Nakee La Pass Screenshot 2025-09-04 at 2.39.45 PM.png Here is a quick glimpse of my adventure. That kind of just look the something. Just like this you are just wondering around the mountain chains all over from the Past quite six hours. Since we started the journey beyond Keylong, Lahul and Spiti. And ended up somewhere in between to be very honest, my friends I was able not sure about that we were about to reach this marketplace and this was the position that when I saw in my mobile phone do photographs that I have captured had this location point in, and I was getting kind of feeling that we were now about to enter a Himalayan pass which also in the end of the blog post that I am going to share the photograph of the board that stated the name of this mountain pass.

IMG_1651.jpeg It was really a whole lot of a different beauty that a song of this place. The place was just exactly looking like a desert and indeed in the winter season. The whole place is covered with a thick blanket of snow that lasts for more than half the time of the year. All of these mountains the mountain peaks nearby would just get covered with thick blanket of snow. Just imagine my friends house the place would look in the winter season. The snow even in depth is more than 10 to 15 feet and at certain points, it is beyond that.

Not talking about the condition of the road since we started a journey, the road just got narrow and narrower and indeed it would obviously be as we were such an high altitude place and even the roads and the existence of the road would just be unbelievable as we were literally just wondering around and crossing by the two different worlds and that was the truly feeling that I was getting when I was just at the place.

IMG_1653.jpeg The mountain peaks were just feeling like that they were just somewhere around just right in front of us and that was the top of the mountain where ever we were. I was getting kind of feeling that we were at top of the world and right just above us, felt the blue sky, followed by the clouds. We were at an altitude of more than 15,000 feet above the sea level and the mountain peaks kind of looked like they were just giving a vibe of that to a castle which was made up of sand since we started at somewhere around 10:34 AM.

When I captured the photograph sharing in this blog post till now it had been more than two hours that we were just wondering around between these beautiful valleys the countless number of positions the mountain peaks altogether the endless valleys a person would just end up wanting around and just getting lost in this beautiful corner of the world. If they would be no essence of the road truly it was really a whole lot of different experience that I had on when I was at the place you guys can see that how the road was just going. If they would be no essence of the road truly it was really a whole lot of different experience that I had on when I was at the place you guys can see that how the road was just going by back and forth in the photographs that I have shared in a sort of a zig zag motion.

The landscapes beyond the turns.

IMG_1646.jpeg At every single tone that we took it was really a gateway to another Valley. It was another Welcome that is when is this welcomed us into a whole lot of different geographical aspect which was at the place and my friends once I reached at the spot but was really a whole lot of a different vibe. I could clearly see the countless number of mountain peaks that just look kind of something just like this formed up into different structures all together in the sky and then followed by this endless blue sky with the beautiful white clouds and it...

IMG_1649.jpeg Throughout the whole journey since we started out, I literally saw any vehicle any person or any other animal all the way to my journey. It was just us who are just in this beautiful corner. Truly. It was just really Oppo. Lot of a different experience. Just being somewhere at the place. That really look unnatural and really giving the vibe that I have ended up into a whole lot of different world as previously mentioned but all together it was the experience that I'm going to remember for the rest of my life since how we started our journey up and ended up in this beautiful corner was something that I truly believed was worthwhile.

IMG_1650.jpeg I could clearly see the different elements of nature altogether the beautiful skies the beautiful landscapes and the road I will just show Maisch to see that how are the ancient explorers what have just figured out the road to this whole lot of a different world altogether covering up his countless number of Kamal and passes altogether and these tiny little man who picks that was just looking like the castle and the different structures that what is formed due to the harsh climatic conditions at the place was truly a whole lot of a different side of the nature that I saw it was really beautiful and the beauty of the nature was not just at the end I would say by seeing the beautiful grasslands beautiful trees and the beautiful mountains with the rivers and lakes screen beauty all around but it was really a whole lot of different aspect that I saw that how beautiful the nature could be on the other side too.

The Hole on the Mountains

IMG_1657.jpeg Another thing that that I noticed when I was at the place that at certain corners at certain mountains, all the peaks I would say they were these holes that was just naturally formed after knowing and doing a bit of research. It was caused due to the winds that just blocked here in this valley Rose really a whole lot of different things. We just know about that how even the winds could just form a hole in the rocky mountains too and all together at every single turn as previously mentioned. Now it was the starting of a whole lot of a mountain that I just saw when I was at the place formed up of sand all together.

The green bushes on the mountains. - The natural vegetation of the place.

There were these wild grass - the bushes like structures that I saw that was just growing at certain points. The only greens that I found out. Was only this at the place. I was so much to see that out of the leaves of this vegetation was I was not able to distinguish or figure out that what type of vegetation it was. Do let me know my friends if you have any sort of information about the same in the comment section and I would love to hear it.these wild grass. The Last Turn to the Nakeela Pass. IMG_1659.jpeg The countless number of turns that we just passed till now and finally it was the spot where I could just see that the land just became a bit flat and it was where I could see the valley getting a bit broader broader. I was getting the access that I was about to reach and witness another Himalayan pass and finally it was the destination which was the Nakee La Pass.

The Nakee La Pass.

IMG_1660.jpeg Finally, my friends we made it all the way to this beautiful corner the Nakee La Pass Beyond 15547 FT. above the sea level. It was really a beautiful moment that we had at the place and at the place I could see they were the Tibetan flags all around the tiny stones. The rocks which was just kept in a sort of a pile formed up as the fishing stones having the culture in the Himalayas, I decide to park the car by the corner decide to spend some time over here capture the photographs and enjoy the moment to its fullest.

It was really a moment that I would say was a dream come true moment where how we ended up to this beautiful corner in this beautiful world. I tried capturing as much photographs as a I could that you guys could also experience the hidden beauty of the Himalayas. Do let me know my friends, the photographs on the part of my adventure that you like the most in the comment section and I would love to hear it from you...
