Good day to all my dear friends.
Tea time is always a cherished moment to share light yet delicious snacks with family and friends. While there are countless traditional recipes to enjoy, experimenting with simple ingredients can bring a refreshing twist to the table. Today, I prepared a wholesome and nutritious new vegetarian snack made with wheat flour, boiled potatoes, and a blend of spices. The softness of the potatoes, combined with the mild sweetness of the wheat flour and the aroma of the spices, creates a perfect snack to enjoy with a warm cup of tea. This new recipe promises convenience, nutrition, and flavor in every bite. Let’s see how this delightful dish is prepared.
Materials Used.
2 boiled and mashed sweet potatoes. Some water. Wheat flour 150g. A finely chopped onion. 2 green chilies, chopped. A few chopped curry leaves. 1 Teaspoon of chili powder. 1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper powder. 1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Salt as needed. Coconut oil 200ml.
The cooking process as follows.
Now let’s get ready to prepare this dish. First, take a bowl and add the boiled potatoes along with a little salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, curry leaves, green chilies, and chopped onions. Mix everything well until well combined.
Now take the potato mixture and shape it as follows.
Next, take some wheat flour in a bowl and add a little salt and about two tablespoons of coconut oil. Gradually add water and mix to form a thick batter.
Now take a few small cups and lightly grease them with coconut oil. Then, add a little of the prepared batter into each cup as shown. After that, place the shaped potato balls into the mixture so they are well coated. Now place the cups in a steamer and steam for about 20 minutes. Once done, remove them from the heat.
Now gently remove the steamed recipe as shown. Next, place a pan on the stove, add some coconut oil, and once the oil is heated, fry the prepared items until they turn golden brown.
So, this is how I prepared this delicious recipe. It is more filling, flavorful, and nutritious than many store-bought options, making it perfect for both children and adults. The specialty of this recipe lies in its simplicity—you can prepare it with ingredients that are almost always available in your kitchen, yet it still results in something fresh and appealing. Whether enjoyed on a rainy evening with a warm cup of tea or served as a delightful snack for guests, this dish is sure to make tea time memorable.
That’s all from me for today. Wishing you all a very pleasant day! 🌸
