Good day to all my dear friends. How are you all doing? I hope everything is going well with you. Although oats are generally known as a healthy breakfast option, with a little creativity they can be transformed into a light, flavorful snack. By combining oats with carrots, onions, green chilies, and curry leaves, we can prepare a delicious and nutritious vade that is perfect for tea time or as a light evening meal. This recipe not only enhances the traditional flavors but also adds the wholesome goodness of oats. So, let’s take a look at how to prepare this step by step. 🌿🥕
Materials Used.
1 Cup of Oats. Some water. 2 Onion. 2 Green chilies. Curry leaves. A small carrot, peeled and washed Coconut Oil. Salt as needed. 1 1/2 Teaspoon of chilli powder. 1 Teaspoon of curry powder. 1/3 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
The cooking process as follows.
Now let’s get ready to prepare this. First, finely chop the carrots, green chilies, curry leaves, and onions.
Next, take a bowl and add the chopped onions, green chilies, carrots, curry leaves, and the required spices. Mix everything well together.
Now, add the oats, salt as needed, and a little water into the mixture. Combine everything thoroughly until well mixed.
Next, shape the mixture into small balls or patties, forming them into Wade shapes.
Now, take a pan and add some coconut oil. Place it on the stove, and once the oil is heated, carefully drop in the prepared wadeyi balls. Fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy.
These oats wadeyi are a wonderful way to enjoy something light yet healthy. With the natural sweetness of carrots, the aroma of curry leaves, and the spiciness of green chilies, they bring a perfect balance of flavors to every bite. Serve them warm with a cup of tea or a tangy chutney, and you’ll have a snack that is both nutritious and satisfying. That’s all for today — until next time, I’ll be back with another new recipe.
