Bugs, Blades, and Beauty – Silksong in Pictures

I have been enjoying Hollow Knight Silksong for a week now. The world is twice as big as the first Hollow Knight game and is much better in the visuals and animation department. I have a folder on my PC where I store all the wallpapers from the first game, and now I have started collecting screenshots of this new game for that purpose only. I want to show you some of those shots that I took. Later, once I finish the game, I will be looking to install mods so I can disable Hornet and take stills of the rooms. One of the cutest bugs in the game is this small pilgrim called Sherma. In the previous game, we had Myla, who used to sing while mining crystals and everyone loved her, but she got infected, and it was a sad ending for her. Now we have a singing lady in this game too; she gets much more screentime, and she embarks on her own journey. I hope she won't get infected in the end.  --- There are a lot of distinct regions in this game, mainly divided into areas with two distinct acts (so far). Some of the places are dark, infested with worms, or simply overrun by ghosts, while some are much more peaceful and vibrant places.  --- The bottom parts of Farloom are filled with Lava and magma. I love this entire region; their music is impressive as well. Exploration is fun for the most part here.  --- Playing as Hornet still feels like a dream, though. She has a much more complex set of moves, and that creates a lot of fancy movements and tougher bosses just because of how slick and fast she can dodge those attacks.  --- I love the fact that each region can be easily distinguished by the background objects or the tiles. They did an amazing job in the art department. I would say it is so much better than Hollow Knight in that area.  --- I will post a detailed review of the game once I finish it. For now, you can enjoy these shots and feel free to use them in any way you like.  --- In the first game, most of the benches were similar despite being placed in different locations, but they worked on this game and made sure to add a lot of different models of the benches, which fit perfectly with their surroundings. These small details are what I think make this game even better than the first one. And they had a lot of time and resources to do that as well.  --- I love it when a small indie team pours its heart out on their beloved games, and that's how visual masterpieces like these are created.  --- There are some subtle references to the last game as well. For example, this next shot from Moss Grotto will instantly remind you of the Lake of Unn. The composition is strikingly similar to that scene. Loved it!  --- Hornet's new movement abilities allow the game to come up with unique platforming challenges, which are fun and sometimes punishing. I am not a fan of some of the gameplay decisions, but overall, it is a masterpiece, and I can say that without even finishing the game. I was afraid that it won't live up to the hype, but nope, it deserves all the praise it got.  --- *Thanks for reading.* ***Until next shot...***
