Hello and welcome back to my blog!

If you follow my blog, you must know that I play a sandbox game very similar to Minecraft. This game is hosted on the @neoxian server, where many players are active. We have a lot of buildings and structures in the main village area in the game, where everybody has decided to settle. But none of us had defeated the game's main boss, a dragon!
This dragon is known as the Ender Dragon and is located in a separate dimension. The only way to enter that dimension is by going through a special portal. However, finding the location of the portal requires crafting a special item, which is itself found in a separate, third dimension called the Nether.
@bemier and I went to the dangerous Nether dimension to get those items, which would help us find the portal. We killed a bunch of deadly flaming monsters, traded with the locals for some other resources and came back safely to our home.

---
Ender Pearls and Blaze Rods were the most important. Everything else was already taken care of.
Once we had enough of both of these, we prepared for a big adventure. We were so prepared that we took two extra full sets of diamond armour for this journey, along with extra diamond tools and weapons. We made half a stack of golden apples with bread as our source of food. Packed extra ores and took some beds to rest along the way. We initially thought we were over-prepared for this journey.

---
It took us some time to find the End portal. Unlike Minecraft, in this game, the End portal is spawned in a small structure with just a room.

There was already one Eye of Ender placed in the slots, we needed 11 more. Luckily, we had a total of 12 at that point. We placed the backup items we had in those chests, in case the dragon was not too kind to us and we died. Or straight up got launched off the End island into the void by the dragon.
Those chests contained food, armour, weapons and blocks needed to come back and finish the dragon. I had no idea what to expect from this fight.
I have only fought the Ender Dragon in Minecraft, not here, and some parts of this game are much harder than in Minecraft. It was better to be prepared than sorry.

We jumped into the portal to see the End dimension. It was not much different from what I expected. There were those iconic towers made of obsidian with crystals present on top of all of them.
The first thing we did was destroy the crystals because if you don't, the dragon keeps healing. For this, we had powerful bows with Power and Infinity enchantments. We carried a lot of arrows in case of an emergency.

---
The dragon was throwing fireballs at us, but they were slow and easy to dodge. The explosions were not hurting us much either; we had fully enchanted Prot IV diamond armour. The Endermen were kind of annoying as always.

---
We showered arrows on the dragon, and that attack slowly drained its health. It did not even perch in the centre. While I was fighting an Enderman, Beril landed the final arrow on the dragon, killing it and getting a cool achievement.

---
The dragon was gone, leaving an egg. I knew how to take this dragon egg, and now it is the rarest item on this server. We are going to display it in a new building soonish.
We overestimated the power of the dragon, it was not too dangerous, but things could have been different if we were not well-equipped for this fight. The golden apples helped, too. I had to use them twice. I was close to dying only once when the dragon threw me off one of the tallest towers. Otherwise, it was a smooth operation.

---
But defeating the Ender Dragon was not our end goal, we wanted a bit more than that. This dimension has some of the best loot you can get, but you need to find it on mysterious floating ships. One of the items is the Elytra, which lets you fly in this world. There was no way we were going without it. But it proved to be much more difficult than we thought. I will write about it in another post when we are done with it.
Thanks for reading...
