Hollow Knight: Silksong - Red Memory in Pictures

For the fans of Hollow Knight, Silksong was a perfect game. It improved the visuals, gameplay and lore elements. One of my favourite sections of the game comes late in Act 3 when Hornet has to find a way to enter the void lake and save Pharloom from destruction. This post will be mostly pictures, and it contains a lot of spoilers for the game, so be warned.  --- This section is called Red Memory. It can only be accessed after the Old Hearts objective. You collect 3 hearts by defeating the boss after going into their memories. Once you collect it, the snail shaman would perform a ritual and send you to this distant memory when Hornet was just a baby.  --- Baby Hornet is so adorable. What a treat to see some of the memories of Hallownest and how it looked when that kingdom was not destroyed.  --- The first area we explore is the Distant Village from Hallownest. Seeing those iconic elevators and signposts of Stag Station was such a pleasant surprise.  --- We witnessed a few moments of Hornet's mother, Herrah, talking to young Hornet. I don't know how long these weavers live, but I would call this Hornet a teen-Hornet. She is still a smaller character than what we play as and bigger than that baby we saw earlier.  --- An interesting thing to note here is that Herrah's face is blurred. She was represented in the first game with a unique mask. Seems like Team Cherry didn't want to commit to a face.  --- We went to the Hive area next. This was a big lore point. Here we see the Hive Queen, Vespa, training our Hornet. She was trained by Hive Queen, how cool is that!  --- We were roaming around Hallownest. Now, I want Team Cherry to make a prequel of Hollow Knight where we play as Pale King and experience how he helped flourish this kingdom, along with the White Lady.  --- The next place we saw was Hornet bowing down to the White Lady in White robes as if the White Lady was her Guru as well. That's how Hornet is such a powerful character. Raised by three queens in Hallownest.  --- This was the only time when Hornet could interact with someone in this whole sequence. The White Lady is coming in clutch again, giving us the Everbloom, a light powerful enough to resist the void.  --- With this final item, the Everbloom, we dive into the void lake to free Farmloom from its clutches. What an epic end to this beautiful journey. I will talk about the final boss some other time.  --- Let me know if you liked these shots and which one is your favourite.
