In the last episode of Sky Islands Survival Series, we found a lot of islands with rare biomes, including a Pale Garden, Mangrove Swamp and a Jungle biome. I will tell you about what happened next in this episode.
As we progressed further in the game. We were ready to go into the nether and see if we could find a fortress. Keep in mind that we already found the stronghold in one of the islands close to our home island. We just needed a way to activate it.
But before heading into the portal, we still had a couple of more islands to explore in the Overworld.

---
We finally found the Savannah biome. It was nothing special. Just a couple of Acacia trees and sweet berries. Just like all the other biomes so far, it had a little cave as well, full of precious ores that we couldn't miss.
The next island in the game was a taiga biome, and the most interesting one so far. Passive mobs were spawning here during the day, while the caves were full of deadly creepers. Look at how they were waiting for us to go down.

---
For the first time, we found some useful animals spawning in an island biome. We had no clue why they were not spawning on the other island. Anyway, we found exactly two pigs which should be transported to our island. It would have been an easy task if not for the endless void between this island and our home island. So, we captured them in the boats.
#### Transporting Pigs!

---
It should have been an easy task. Each of us is carrying one pig in a boat and rowing it on a narrow bridge to our island. One wrong move and both of us are into the void.

---
It was mostly a smooth ride until the very end, where we had to build a small closed tunnel because the height of these two islands was not the same. I made that last tunnel capable of only housing two boats at a time, but Beril wanted to rescue the Fox as well, and we had three boats sitting on a narrow platform. Things didn't go as well because the pigs weren't cooperating towards the end. We lost one pig in the process.

---
All that planning and work to end up with just one pig unable to even breed. That was sad and funny at the same time. We laughed, screamed and felt stupid in our execution of a relatively simple task.
But at least we found our favourite tree type for building. The spruce tree! Look at this monstrous tree. I have never seen a bigger one in Minecraft.

---
#### A Failed Mob Farm!
I thought we could get some more loot with a mob farm and get some free experience points for enchanting, and the best way was to create a simple mob farm. I followed a tutorial and built it after a while, only to notice that it doesn't even work.

---
No monster was spawning inside the completely dark platforms. We were puzzled as to why it doesn't work. The only explanation I can provide is that this biome is called void according to the F3 screen. So, perhaps no mobs or entities can spawn in this biome even if there are solid blocks to stand on?
---
### Time for Nether!
Things weren't going as good as we expected lately, so we turned our focus to the Nether. Maybe a change of dimensions will bring good luck? At least we hoped so.

---
We made a portal already and even received some uninvited guests.
The Nether was even deadlier than the Overworld. It was surrounded by a thick fog, which hindered our ability to see beyond a few chunks. We were attacked by a Ghast as well. But soon Beril spotted a Warped forest biome. It was much higher than our platform, so we had to make a staircase which looked like we were ascending into the heavens (in a place usually referred to as Hell by Minecraft players lol).

---
It was a small island floating in the middle of nowhere, filled with hundreds of fast-teleporting Enderman. We needed Ender Pearls, so it wasn't too bad. We used the ancient boat techniques to kill them. They can teleport in the blink of an eye, but don't know how to get out of a boat lol. It is a funny game at times.

---
That's it for this episode. We still have a few more islands to explore and then go to the dangerous Nether to see if we can find a fortress.
Thanks for reading.
Until next island...
