Hello and welcome to my blog.
It has been over a week since I shared an update on my StakeHouse Den's journey. If you are reading this, you might already know that it is a play2earn casino game on Hive. This is currently the only web3 game I am playing. I wanted to continue Splinterlands after a long time as well, but I have just been procrastinating for a while. I am too lazy lately and not in the best state mentally to pick it up again and learn the new cards. My mind is not as sharp as it used to be, I guess. Anyway, this post is not about Splinterlands. It is about StakeHouse Den, where, as I said, you can play casino games like slots, roulette or Blackjack. I love Blackjack among all three, and that's where I spend most of my time playing in this game.
It is not a simple gambling game; there is an initial investment required for you to play it. The way it works is you can only bet with the currency called Hot Sauce, and to generate it, you need to stake cards, which are only opened by buying Packs or by purchasing individual cards from the market. The market price seems to be high for cards right now, so I recommend you to buy packs if you want to get into it. These packs are called Ladyluck packs, and I bought and opened 8 of them so far in my journey. Depending on the rarity of cards you pulled from these packs, you generate more Hot Sauce if you stake rare cards. Just keep in mind that each card staked requires 2 Script tokens to be staked, which can be bought from Hive-engine.

---
When I logged in today, I checked my refrigerator to see how many HotSauce I collected. I collected almost 300 HotSauce, more than enough for me to play some big hands in Blackjack and test my luck at the other two games. Like always, I would spend most of this Hotsauce on Blackjack rounds and about 20-25% of it on the other two games just because those are more luck-based.

#### Playing Blackjack
You still need a lot of luck in this game, so to avoid losing it all in one round, I usually split the bet across multiple rounds to offset unlucky runs. This time, I decided to place bets of 40 Hotsauce each round.
In the first round, I busted my hand because I didn't want to stay at 15, so I hit. But I got a face card there and got busted. Bad start to the day.
In the next round, I got a solid 20 from the first two cards. That's pretty good, and I instantly clicked on stay. You can still lose from here or get a tie, but you have to be very unlucky for that. That wasn't the case this time, and this was the first round I won.

---
In the third round, I got a 10 and 7, making 17, which is one of the worst combos, I think, in this game. You are never confident at 17, but you also don't want to hit and get busted. I decided to stay at 17. I was so relieved when I saw that the dealer got busted and I won that round.

---
My Colony Staking factor is pretty low (only 1.21), so I didn't get a great reward for winning this round. I got only 0.20 Colony tokens, but a win is a win.
I was feeling a bit lucky here, and with that, I started the next round. I got busted in that round. I don't like to hit at 15, 16 or 17. But I had to hit at 15 because it is not a winning hand.
In the next round, I got very unlucky as the dealer got a Blackjack.

---
After winning two rounds in a row and then losing two. Now I wasn't feeling any luckier. The next round, I got a solid 19, and I thought I might win. But nope, it was a tie. This was the last round for me if it wasn't a tie.
I could go for one last round, and I hit BlackJack!

---
It was a game; I won exactly half of the rounds I played in Blackjack today. Had a tie, and Blackjack as well. It is like I have seen everything in the game today.
I won a total of 0.6 Colony tokens today from Blackjack. I still had some more Hotsauce left to gamble away. The next game I chose was Roulette.

##### Playing Roulette
I always play a couple of rounds of Roulette, but never go for big wins and always play the 2x bets like the odd-even or colours. I bet 10 Hotsauce on red colour and lost the first round. But the second round was luckier, and the ball stayed on the red number. I just got 0.038 rewards from winning this round.

I wanted to go for a single number and play one more round, but I knew the odds were too bad for that. I wasn't feeling that lucky today. So, I shifted to Slots so I can test my luck there by spending the last few remaining Hotsauce.

#### Playing Slots
I had about 35 Hotsauce left at this point. My record at Slots was awful, so I decided to play a lot of rounds just to see if I could even win a couple of rounds. I bet 2 Hotsauce only for the next 16 rounds. I was sure I would win a few spins from all these rounds...right?

---
Out of all the 17 rounds, I won two of them with x5 wins. At least now I know that you can win here, too. I would love to get a jackpot in slots someday.

#### Staking another Rare Card
I staked another card in the game. It was a rare Jack of hearts. But before that, I had to bug a couple of SCRIPT tokens and stake them in the game. Each new card staked requires two more SCRIPT tokens to be staked. With this new staked card, now I have a total of 11 cards staked and they are generating me 26 Hot Sauce. It is still a small number, and I will slowly try to increase my staked cards so I can play more often.

---
It was a fine day at StakeHouse Den for me overall. Had a decent time with Blackjack and even won a couple of rounds at the slots lol. Now, I will let my refrigerator get filled up with tasty Hotsauce so I can play again and win more.
