If there's one thing we don't talk about enough, it is how difficult it has become to meet new people and make friends.
Yes, I know that might seem like a crazy statement to make in a world like this where we have social media and online platforms where people from all over the world can connect and create a bond.
But if there's one thing we never consider amidst all of these things, it is that there are still a lot of us out there who prefer doing things the old-fashioned way, not because we hate the way things are being done now but because many of us are not so good at keeping conversations with people online.
I, personally, have tried on different occasions in the past to try to bond with people online, and although one or two of them had gone smoothly, the majority of them didn't. But when compared to the few times I've actually met people face-to-face first, I've had a lot more success making friends with those people than I've had with people I first met online.
And ever since I noticed that, I came to the conclusion that rather than try to force myself into something I'm not good at, I could instead focus on what I'm good at and be the best in it.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, which is why I wish someone could have the genius idea of maybe creating a form of a weekly hangout where strangers could come together to bond, make friends, and play all sorts of games (from video games to card games).
Maybe something like that is already in existence; I just don't know about it, but if it's not, then someone has to work on it ASAP because I'm tired of living in a world of eight billion people, and yet I almost have no friends.
