These past few days I've been learning to love life and just appreciate the little day-to-day things that I do. Even being able to have a conversation these days brings some sort of joy and satisfaction to me. I don't know why that has been happening, but I love it.
I guess being able to do whatever I want, whenever I want, is something that I've recently started to appreciate a lot more than usual.
Well, the good thing about this whole thing is that feeling this way has made me want to try new things now. Like I said in my previous blog, I've started eating healthy and even learned how to cook a meal.
Anyway, today I decided to also add to the list of things I'm trying to form as a habit, which is exercising. Earlier this morning when I got up from bed, I had gone over to my neighbor's room, who happens to have a dumbbell.
He has always wanted me to come lift weights with him, but I always found an excuse not to. Today, I knocked on his door, and when I told him the reason for my visit, he was surprised.
We ended up not only working out with the dumbbell, but we had come up with a smart way to make a quick arrangement for a makeshift bench press. And although it might not be like the typical one in the gym, it still worked perfectly fine for us.
The few sections we had made me realize how much I needed to exercise more because I found myself in excruciating pain while the whole thing felt like nothing to him. I felt so lazy; it was embarrassing. But rather than let that feeling get over me, I turned it into motivation and tried to push myself even harder.
Hopefully, this doesn't become a one-time thing, and I get to turn it into a full-time habit for real because, aside from the health benefits that come with exercising, I also do need to get in shape and hopefully get rid of this big stomach… Lol
