I know that nowadays, everyone is always looking to turn everything into some sort of motivational speech, and maybe this post today is too, but I just couldn't resist sharing this here with you all today, probably because life is already tough as it is, and an inspiration now and then wouldn't hurt.
Well, at home, I have this bulb in my room that could be charged to store energy, but in order for you to charge it, you have to first turn on the bulb from the control socket, and the longer the bulb stays on, the longer it charges.
The only downside to having this bulb in my tiny room is that it causes a lot of heat when turned on to charge, so there have been days when I've had to just turn it off not because it is fully charged, but because I just couldn't bear the heat.
But every time I turn it off and then we don't have electricity later that day, I always go turn on that bulb to make use of it, only for it to go off after some few minutes of being on, and that is when the regrets always set in. Because I find myself regretting not enduring the heat and charging it long enough for me to be able to make use of it when there's no power supply in my house.
The same thing goes for a lot of things that happen in our lives today. It is never easy to learn a new skill or get that degree, so sometimes we just decide to stop halfway because we can no longer endure, just like I couldn't endure that heat, but then what happens when we find ourselves in a situation where that skill is needed for a huge pay, or we're being presented our dream job but can't get it because we never completed that degree?
Basically, all I'm saying is not to be like me and end up regretting it later, when you can simply endure now and be glad you did when it all eventually starts paying off.
