Brandon Sanderson es un autor que he comenzado a leer, con esta sería su segunda novela que completo, luego de Elantris y otras historias cortas. Es un autor que se está haciendo un gran nombre con los mundos que desarrolla y su capacidad de lanzar libros de manera continua. Publicada en el 2009. Novela de fantasía dura.

Luego de leer los libros mencionados arriba, me queda claro que el autor es un experto en crear mundos mágicos con reglas claras y coherentes. Eso sumado a una trama con muchos misterios y personajes interesantes, el resultado da buenas novelas para leer.

La novela irá mostrando la reacción de las hermanas a su situación, y en el caso de Vivenna, buscará rescatar a su hermana, teniendo una historia que le permitirá conocer aliados, problemas y muchos acertijos por descubrir. Por otra lado, Siri tendrá que adaptarse a la vida dentro de una especie de ciudadela cerrada, donde viven los dioses, los sacerdotes y su futuro esposo el rey-dios Susebron. Con muchas reglas y protocolos a seguir pero que también ocultan muchas cosas.

La novela si bien es extensa, los capítulos son cortos y fáciles de entender. Si bien la magia de este mundo y sus detalles pueden costar entenderse al comienzo, poco a poco vas comprendiendo su funcionamiento.

Lo único malo que encuentro a la novela, es que los eventos donde ya hay más acción, ocurren ya por el último tramo de la novela. A su vez, te deja con ganas de más y saber el futuro de varios personajes.
