Ha sido un poco de aire fresco este libro, pues mezcla un estilo de escritura que me gusta con un tono cómico. Es el primer libro del autor que leo, conocido por “El abuelo que saltó por la ventana y se largó”, de la que incluso se hizo película. Publicada en 2015.
This book has been a breath of fresh air, as it combines a writing style that I like with a comical tone. It is the first book I have read by this author, known for “The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared,” which was even made into a movie. Published in 2015.
Sinopsis: Johan “Asesino” Andersson ha sido liberado después de su segunda condena, y parece que volverá a sus fechorías; de esto un recepcionista con una vida difícil y una pastora, no creyente de Dios, planean usar al “asesino” para hacer dinero mediante encargos. Sin embargo, este plan se ve trastocado cuando Andersson conoce a Jesucristo y la Biblia, decidido a cambiar el rumbo de su vida.
Synopsis: Johan “Killer” Andersson has been released after his second conviction, and it seems he will return to his misdeeds; because of this, a receptionist with a difficult life and a pastor who does not believe in God plan to use the “killer” to make money through commissions. La historia tiene un carácter cómico, las escenas que muestran escenarios chistosos es variado, como el de una iglesia con feligreses achispados por mucho vino, reuniones de criminales para decidir quien debe matar a quien, y las diversas reuniones estratégicas del trío principal.
The story has a comical tone, with a variety of scenes depicting humorous situations, such as a church with parishioners tipsy from too much wine, meetings of criminals to decide who should kill whom, and the various strategic meetings of the main trio.

El libro es sencillo de leer, tiene capítulos cortos así que perderse en la historia es casi imposible. Es lineal y si bien eso lo quita sorpresa, no deja de ser una trama que brilla más por mostrar momentos ridículos y cómicos. Y aun así no deja de tratar de tocar temas diversos: el cambiar el rumbo de tu vida, modelos de negocios en base a donar, el uso de los medios como marketing, etc.
The book is easy to read, with short chapters, so it's almost impossible to get lost in the story. It's linear, and while that takes away some of the surprise, it's still a plot that shines more for its ridiculous and comical moments. And yet it still manages to touch on a variety of topics: changing the course of your life, donation-based business models, the use of media as marketing, etc.
Al final, es una obra accesible y entretenida de leer, sin muchas pretensiones. Lo recomiendo si te interesa la premisa. Espero seguir leyendo más obras de este autor.
In the end, it is an accessible and entertaining read, without many pretensions. I recommend it if you are interested in the premise. I hope to continue reading more works by this author.
