 Las supersticiones son la excusa perfecta para convertir un argumento en algo fantasioso que pasa por filtros y roza la parte espiritual de este mundo. Y es que sí, estas creencias se transmitieron de manera oral de generación en generación y fueron el resultado de diversos eventos. A pesar de tener su origen de este modo, muchas de las creencias suelen llevarse como amuleto para evitar malos presagios en vida, mas otros suelen verse con temor. Todo ello, es capaz de modificar y muchas veces guiar los patrones de comportamiento en el ser humano. En varios contextos su influencia suele verse como algo no tan saludable dado el temor que muchos sienten hacia ellas, temor e incluso dependencia.   A través de los años, he escuchado diversas de estas supersticiones dado que mi abuela paterna tiene gran fascinación por ellas. Aunque en mi casa no se destile toda esta cultura de supersticiones, la influencia de los cuentos y regaños de mi abuela en la infancia me hace compartir mis recuerdos sobre ellas en este post. Recuerdo que siempre que llovía y tronaba a su vez mi abuela preparaba un vaso de agua de la llave encima de la mesa, dado que creía que esto alejaba la influencia de los rayos en la casa y alejaba el sonido de los truenos. Muchas veces cuando llegábamos de la carretera y mi padre ponía el casco de la moto encima de la cama, mi abuela decía que esto era de mala suerte y atraía desgracias a la familia. Siempre le preguntaba que por qué atraía desgracias si solo era un casco en la cama y ella me respondía porque sí. A pesar de mi juventud sabía que porque sí no era argumento suficiente para explicar esto pero como me enseñaron que las palabras de nuestros mayores se respeta prefería dar el tema por cerrado. Y como existen supersticiones sobre truenos y desgracias también existen sobre dinero, y recuerdo que una vez cuando unas vecinas fueron a casa a tomar café, mi abuela vio que la vecina se arrascaba la mano izquierda y de repente le comentó que estaba al soltar dinero. Según las supersticiones si te pica la mano izquierda sueltas y si te pica la derecha es que vas a recibir dinero. Además, siempre llevaba con ella un diente de ajo porque decía que alejaba la maldad de las personas y su negativa influencia en nosotros. Otra de las cosas curiosas sobre esto reside en las escaleras puesto que pasar por debajo de ellas es considerado una fatalidad en sí. Esto y ver gatos negros o romper espejos es fatal, al igual que abrir paraguas o barrerle los pies a alguien. Según ella, si haces esto no tendrás ni buena suerte ni una relación estable. Siempre me pareció que vivir con todo esto era vivir con un miedo intenso al mañana, estar enfocados en que no hacer en vez de concentrarnos en tomar acción y trabajar en base a cambios positivos.   Sinceramente, no vivo mi vida dictada por todas estas influencias, me concentro en el presente pero aún así respeto las opiniones de los demás y sus creencias. Conocer no es sinónimo de aplicar en vida y es por ello que conozco mas no promuevo la obsesión compulsiva que muchas veces se suele tener respecto a esto. Muchas veces no valoramos el impacto que tienen las creencias y palabras en nuestros modos de comportamiento, es por esto que desde aquí te hago una llamada para respetar y a la vez vivir en pos de superarte cada día, con o sin gatos negros. Many times when we would come home from the road and my father would put the motorcycle helmet on top of the bed, my grandmother would say that this was bad luck and attracted misfortune to the family. I always asked her why she attracted misfortune if she was just a helmet in bed and she answered me because she was. Despite my youth I knew that just because it was not enough to explain this, but as I was taught that the words of our elders are respected, I preferred to close the subject. And as there are superstitions about thunder and misfortunes there are also about money, and I remember that once when some neighbors went home for coffee, my grandmother saw that the neighbor was dragging her left hand and suddenly told her that she was dropping money. According to superstitions, if your left hand itches you let go and if your right hand itches you are going to receive money. In addition, she always carried a clove of garlic with her because she said that it kept away evil from people and their negative influence on us. Another of the other curious things about this resides in the stairs since passing under them is considered a fatality in itself. This and seeing black cats or breaking mirrors is fatal, as is opening umbrellas or sweeping someone's feet. According to her, if you do this you will have neither good luck nor a stable relationship. It always seemed to me that to live with all this was to live in intense fear of tomorrow, to be focused on what not to do instead of concentrating on taking action and working on positive changes.   Honestly, I do not live my life dictated by all these influences, I focus on the present but still respect the opinions of others and their beliefs. To know is not synonymous to apply in life and that is why I know but I do not promote the compulsive obsession that many times people tend to have about this. Many times we do not value the impact that beliefs and words have on our behavioral patterns, that is why from here I call you to respect and at the same time live in pursuit of bettering yourself every day, with or without black cats.
