*"First aid box is the treatment given to an individual before the arrival of a doctor or being taken to the hospital."*
I don't think there's anyone who wasn't taught this in primary school, even up to secondary school. The purpose is to be able to save someone in an emergency before being taken to the hospital for proper treatment.
First aid treatment is a lifesaver, absolutely. For instance, an individual who fell and injured himself with blood gushing out from his or her leg would need to be attended to first by using some tools in the first aid box to stop the bleeding and apply some ointment to relieve him or her from the pain. Sometimes, using first aid treatment alone is helpful without the need to go to the hospital.
It's always advisable to have a full kit of first aid treatment at home because we never know what might happen, especially with children around. Kids are easily hurt by objects around the house or when playing outdoors. As an adult, it's very important to know how to treat such a kid first before the next process.
Unfortunately, I don't have much knowledge of first aid treatment, but I have seen it countless times where it was used on an individual to stop bleeding or save them when they got drowned in the water or had a heart attack, with a process called CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
CPR is an emergency treatment that can help save a life. I haven't done this before, or maybe because I haven't been in such a situation where I could practice it. Even at that, I don't have a strong mind when it comes to serious situations like that, and I don't know how I might feel when I am left to perform CPR on someone to save their life.
I believe someone not trained cannot do CPR, especially knowing what to do at that point. There are times one would have to put their mouth in a person's mouth or nose, then do the hands only by pressing their heart harder to resuscitate them. I watch this mostly in movies, and I get surprised at such a level of knowledge to know what to do at the right time. Something I wouldn't be able to do, but I can scream for help. Lol

Growing up, I was only taught to use mentholated spirit or shea butter on a wound, even mine, and that has always been my way of helping save a life before the arrival of a doctor. I can also help in sprinkling water if needed or assist with necessary things to keep an individual from danger.
There are instances where I have helped to clean wounds with cotton wool and apply either spirit, iodine or shea butter, and it makes me glad to do that. During my youth service, I was at home that morning, and I decided to check on a woman who had four kids with her. As I got to her place, I noticed one of the boys had a deep cut on his forehead. I got worried and asked what she had applied to it. She mentioned something I can't remember, but I decided to give her shea butter, and it helped relieve the pain he was going through. She requested more, which I gave to her.
Shea butter has been one way I treat wounds, and the purpose is to stop the bleeding, relieve pain and dry the wound even before the next day. I always have this ready at home in case of anything, and aside from that, there are the common drugs I don't miss having, i.e, paracetamol because it also helps relieve pain in the body, especially when you are experiencing headache, running temperature or stress.
It's important to have the full first aid box treatment at home, and having the knowledge of when to use it is crucial, too. I know how important this is, and I hope to understand more about it in case any emergency happens around me.
