Princess, the MC at the Birthday Party 😁

  I went to a birthday party yesterday and was the show's MC. Lol. I have never anchored any event because I used to run away from stuff like that. This request came and it was like a bomb on my chest. I couldn’t decline the offer, because? I didn’t want to disappoint the mother who had thought I could handle such a thing. So, I summoned the courage to try it out. There’s always a first time for something. Yeah! Well, the turnout was pretty good and I felt good about it. Another reason I accepted this request was to help in my own way. Every day, I feel fulfilled whenever I extend my help to someone whether in a big or small way. As long as it’s done from my heart and not being forced to do it. It’s one way I obey the law of God.   This young boy celebrated his 10th birthday on the 11th of September. I was actually shocked to find out his new age yesterday. He has a stature that made me assume he should be around 11-12 years but my assumption deceived me. Lol His name is Ayomipe, in English, my joy is complete. Guess what? He has two elder sisters named Ayomikun, my joy is filled, and Ayomipo, my joy is plenty. It took me months to stop being confused about their names as I used to give their names for another until I was corrected. I used to feel embarrassed when I was corrected like that because it would look like I didn’t care to know them.  Ayomipe is an intelligent boy, the baby of the house, reason he acts so childish even around his friends. Lol He is a boy who is always ready to answer any questions during Bible study in church and I love his zeal to learn every time. He’s so respectful and always ready to take corrections when he’s corrected, according to his mom. Very gentle and playful, too. At first, the children in church were invited to come celebrate at their house and when we did house fellowship at their place on Sunday, the mother invited me personally and later that day, I got a message from her that I would be the one to anchor the program. You need to come and see how my heart shifted from its place. I felt a sharp bang because I never expected it. I had to start regretting why I attended the house fellowship that day, because if I wasn’t there, I guess she wouldn’t have invited me and given me such a task. On another thought, I remembered when something like this happens, the first thing to do is ask for help. The only trusted place to get help was from the Holy Spirit and trust me, I was glad I did. I never knew I could perform that well, and the children who were present enjoyed themselves. Here is the program I drafted, which I sent to the mother, and in turn printed it out to be distributed among those who came for the party.  We had a series of games played and it was all fun. We played freeze dance, music chair, pass the parcel and do what it says. ||| |-|-| ||| Those games were lovely, and I could not be prouder of myself than I was yesterday. I was grinning all the way home after the whole event which lasted for over 3 hours. Well, I actually left the place and I believe the party must have continued after I was gone. We ate rice and chicken with snacks and then when I was leaving, the mother gave me an exercise book that has the celebrant’s image on it.  It was a fun time at their home and I am glad to be there to share in their blessings and also to be available for their help. The mother affirmed that I did a great job and eased her of the whole stress. I felt happy hearing that. --- _{*All images are mine*}
