Blessed morning Sketchbook community. I am delighted to present yet another captivating piece of artwork for you all to experience. Today I poured my attention into every curve and shadow of this lantern, capturing not just its form but its story. The pencil strokes carry a sense of nostalgia- an object once relied upon to chase away the darkness, now standing quietly as a symbol of resilience and memory. The glass globe reflects subtle highlights, suggesting the possibility of light even when unlit, while the dark shading behind it whispers of the contrast between shadow and illumination. To me, this lantern is more than metal and glass; it's a guidance of night, a reminder of the warmth and hope that light brings to the soul.
