This is my entry for the Monomad challenge, hosted by @monomad and @brumest.
Hello dear friends of the @Black And white community. This is actually my first post here on this community and I am super delighted to become a member of this amazing community.
At the downtown area of the Oron local government, Uyo, Nigeria. I witnessed a traditional marriage and I decided to take some cool pictures of the environment and the decorations because of how intriguing there were. These pictures portray the settings and decorations of the Oron tradition when it comes to traditional marriage.
The Oron people are very conscious and respectful of their traditions thereby taking time to execute their traditional rights step by step without missing anything. I tried to capture some images of the environment and make them as entries in this Monomad challenge. Hopefully these images will get support from friends in the Black and white community.
Right there is where the couples will be sitted while the marriage rites is been conducted. The decorated stage is only for the couples to sitted comfortably. They could only rise up when necessary.
And here is the pathway well decorated in preparation for the grand entry of the couples.
And then I decided to get close to the musical instrument, this is a picture of the drum's mic.
This is a thunder cymbal, it's a part of the drumset. So I decided to capture the intriguing part of the drumset.
