Welcome to another amazing week in hive. This week is special because the ball is in our court. Giving a chance to pick a topic of our choice or to write about ourselves is really an honor. We sincerely appreciate the Hive-reachout community for this opportunity.
So I will really want to write about someone most special to me,my superwoman, the most amazing person I know, so precious to me, allow me to introduce you to my Mom.
Yes I call her mom instead of mother because anybody can become a mother but not everyone can become a Mom
My mom is my best friend,my gist partner, my gossip partner, my confidence,my intercessor, my first doctor most importantly she is my mentor
Whenever anyone asks me who is my mentor? Most times they expect me to call some big well known person but I end up telling them my mom I see curiosity in their eyes wondering why my mom.
Don't get me wrong, well known people are my mentors. For example Ben Carson is one of my mentors but I will always say my mom because she is the mentor I had known first, even before I knew Ben Carson my mom was already my mentor.
I have always wanted to grow up to be more than my mom if possible but becoming an adult I realize I can't match her in some aspects of life even though I am better than her in some aspects.
Aspects like her spiritual life is something I can't match up to her,her love for God is another level she lets people have their way all because she wants them to believe in God.
On the other hand am some that believes in tick for tact (as you do me naso I go do you back), my level of patience is nothing close to that of my mom.
Growing up I watched her sacrifice everything for me and my siblings without thinking about herself. She has never put herself first in any issues, her God first, her children and husband are second.
She is not educated but she is a great judge, an amazing counselor, a wonderful teacher and the best listener I know so far. Her level of intelligence is something that amazes us in the house don't even try to out smart her is a waste of time.
Being the daughter of such an amazing woman, why will she not be my mentor, a woman that stands for her family both spiritually and physically?I honestly want to be like my mom.
