Been a busy girl tapping into the poetry community on Bluesky. Research tells me that it is decentralized, but privately owned, not sure how that works. My understanding, and feel free to expand on this, is that there is no algorithm controlling what you see. As far as I can tell, this is the case. Those that I follow are in my feed in reverse chronological order, same when you make a search. The searches I have made are poetry and haiku. There are a lot of poets on the platform and a lot of poetry readers. If you are on Bluesky and looking to build your community, look me up and give me a follow. Just a small caveat: I am keeping my Bluesky feed exclusively for poetry and writing, no politics. I am on politics hiatus; who knows for how long.
