No, we did not make it to the coast and Vancouver, hopefully next time, but pretty close on our Summer road trip. Not seaside and the Pacific Ocean, but definitely lake and pool side. The lake in question being the Okanagan. After the somewhat stressful, if beautiful drive through the Rocky Mountains, we arrived at our finals destination, the Summerland Hotel and Resort. Now it was just time to relax, get a tan, and detox the driving stress a way. My travel companions got ambitious, on the other hand, they'd been cooped up in the car went biking, swimming, and kayaking, but moi ... outside of some light splashing around in the pool and walk into town for sushi, I was content to lounge in the July sun and enjoy the sauna until dinner time and winetime. I told myself that I was exercising with my body working at regulating temperature swings, and I would be happy for the color and vitamin D from the sun. a luxury hotel ... well luxury for me ... was a wonderful end to the road trip.
