Book Review ~ Jazzy the Witch in Broom Doom – Finding Magic in Your Own Way

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Today I want to share with you something very special magical graphic novel that I think many of you will enjoy **Jazzy the Witch in Broom Doom** by *Jessixa Bagley*. This middle-grade story is filled with humor, charm and an important message about being true to yourself even when the world expects something different.    Book Summary   Jazzie is the story of a young witch who lives in a town where her ability to fly attracts huge crowds. To her classmates and family it's just a matter of flying and playing with the wind, but Jazzie finds it difficult. Her broomstick gets tangled, her takeoffs fail and she feels like she'll never find a place where she truly fits in. Everything changes when she discovers a new thing a bicycle where other witches prefer to fly, Jazzie finds a bit of freedom and excitement in pedaling. But with a very important Supermoon Parade event on the horizon, Jazzie is forced to choose between continuing to do what the world's parents expect of her or accepting herself as she is and being unhappy with it. In order to protect her bat friend Fiona and her best friend Aggie Jazzie begins to suspect that her true magic lies in not being normal.    My Review   This is a very interesting story because it revolves around the typical witch story. It is not a story of magic and flawless broomstick tricks it is a story of self-discovery. The struggle that Jazzy goes through is very real, because many of us have been in a position to accept something when our hearts and souls were being called to do the opposite. The artwork is stunning, the mix of dark purples, greens and soft colors creates a magical and cozy atmosphere. I loved Jazzy a lot but it was especially important to give her a bat friend Fiona who introduces humor and tenderness. Another notable thing is how the family is presented Jazzy lives with her two mothers and grandmother and this aspect would make the book very diverse and representative.   Some facts   - A funny, sweet and relatable graphic novel for all ages. - Encourages kids to follow their passions. - Beautiful art full of whimsical details. - Perfect for fans of magical stories with a unique twist.  More than a witchy journey *Jazzy the Witch in Broom Doom* is a story about learning to be brave enough to follow your own voice. It is lighthearted, Self-assurance and sweet. Five stars to older middle-grade readers fans of the fantasy genre or other individuals who may feel like they didn’t quite fit in. That's it for now.
