In this book, we find an extraordinary Bengali scientist, Professor Trilokeshwar Shanku, (we all call him Professor Shanku) who makes one amazing discovery after another in the deserted part of the city of Giridih and gets involved in various mysterious expeditions around that discovery. Shanku is accompanied by his trusted servant Prahlad and his beloved cat Newton, who accompany him on almost every expedition. No matter where the background of the stories is, India, Africa, Europe or space, each story is filled with a kind of scientific logic, thrill and humanity. Through these stories, Satyajit Ray not only told the story of a scientist, he also highlighted the curiosity, morality and human thinking hidden within science. What I liked most was the relationship between knowledge, responsibility and discovery within his stories. After finishing the book, I felt that Shanku is not just a fictional character, he is actually the scientist inside every curious person, who moves forward with a thirst for knowledge. For those who love to read stories and think, **Shanku Samagra** will be an unforgettable experience. My opinion I really liked this book. I read it in a library a long time ago. But I still listen to these stories through audio because I am interested in science. This book seems much better and more interesting to me. It is more about building an empire than about scientific discoveries. I like that a lot. Because when I think about science, I think that I will build my own empire with my discoveries, so I find a lot of similarity with this story. I have gained a lot of new ideas and knowledge after finishing this book.
