The best possible addiction *(it's not what you think!)*

This is perhaps one of the only things I would ever advocate a person establish a small obsession for this one thing…

It is something most humans find impossible to resist. It’s the key to being happy with your spouse and...

...has the most cringe worthy name:

Cuddles. Or as I call it “entanglement theory.”

Despite the cheddar-filled name, cuddling is essential to bonding. Engaging in frequent, regular cuddling increases a person’s dopamine and oxytocin levels—and aids in forming deeper bonds in your relationships. You can even get withdrawal (mind you it’s not as painful as one from a narcotic) when you are abruptly separated from your cuddle buddy for too long.

Just think of how relaxed and happy you’ve ever felt entangled in the arms of your spouse. Or the bliss of hugging your kids when they come home from school. Both give you that warm intoxicating feeling not until eating fresh cake warm from the oven and covered in a rich chocolate drizzle.

The fundamental reason I advocate becoming a cuddle addict is it can lead to better sex, longer commitments and closer relationships. Some behavioral scientists suspect it could even prevent couples from cheating.

This human need for closeness is so intense that some people are taking to hosting “cuddle parties” where people can curl up and get all those good feelings. They are highly organized too with facilitators and rules (consent is mandatory).

Remember cuddling ranges from holding hands while binge watching your favorite series—to a flirty make out session. Happy snuggling Steem!
