High on the hill overlooking the village below is a beautiful castle. It's so romantic in style, I feel and could easily picture a Princess or Ladies daydreaming out of a window.

We arrived and parked overlooking the castle, where we stayed overnight, just a couple of meters from the viewpoint itself.

At the viewpoint, we took out our wooden swords and battled for 2 rounds in front of the castle. I can get this uploaded if anyone would like to see it ha ha!

The Castle was lit up at night with a warm light, which really made it stand out of an evening. The Church in the village was also lit.

We had a trip into the town, and driving down the cobbled streets, I was giddy at how beautiful the town was. With each slow turn, it got better and better.

The different coloured buildings were standing out, and people of the town had clearly made an effort; there didn't appear to be one bad-looking or badly maintained building. Apart from a bricked area outside someone's house with a tree, I felt that it made it have a slight rustic feel, more than an unmaintained ruin. The old cobbles really give it a wow factor.

With the village below and the castle above, it really does feel like a fairytale location. I wouldn't be surprised if that's a wedding venue with a long lens; you'd get gorgeous shots, I imagine.

I had to use the toilet, and it was so nice to see a public toilet at such a nice level. It didn't have anything wow or exciting, just cleaned and smelling fresh. Maybe it was because I hadn't seen a normal toilet for a few days, but it certainly felt nice to use.

We were only in the town for a few hours before heading back to Van with the food we purchased from the more modern bottom end of town.

For dinner, we had what I like to call a Beige Buffet - Potatoes croquettes cooked in the ridgemonkey, A cheese selection, Sliced Yellow Bell Peppers (The Healthy Bit) and some bread with chutney.

I might do a separate post on van dinners too.
