The Pull-Up Bar Dilemma: Health Goals vs. Door Frames

I know I watch many videos on Reels, and I wonder if I suffer from "brain rot" because I watch too many. I guess I do, because I feel more stupid. But I don't watch videos of dancing cats or other funny videos as such. Instead, I watch videos about exercise, just how to be healthy and strong.

I also watch videos about food, nutrition in relation of muscle growth, and other health benefit, and also intermittent fasting.I watch some simple exercise according to Chinese ancient technique and try it.

Discovering the Pull-Up Bar

One particular video that interested me was about pull-up exercises. There are tools you can purchase that attach to a door frame. You can then do pull-ups—at first maybe just hang, but then gradually you can improve by lifting your body. I'm quite interested in trying this pull-up bar.

A Problem with the Installation

I ordered a pull-up bar from a local e-commerce site. After waiting for a week, the pull-up bar arrived. To be honest, it's quite strong and made from some sort of metal. The ends have a rubber surface, and the bar is meant to be attached to a door frame or wall. After you tighten the bar by screwing it into the wall, you can start hanging yourself from it.

But there's only one problem: I can't install the pull-up bar yet. Even after adjusting its length, it's... it's too wide still for my door frame. I can not use it. Either I have to purchase another smaller or shorter pull up bar or I have to replace the door of my house. The later is not an ideal option actually.

Ok, but I can not still hang myself on the pull up bar.
