You can tell by now that I am really loving the batch of fudgy crinkles I made. I love the taste and texture and now it’s in my sketchbook. edible inspo, literally.
Of course my original creation, Kumieo the plant character will be the star of the drawing. I made her stealing one of my crinkles, despite her size she was able to carry it and tip toed her way quietly into her hiding place. I did not expect that my crinkle drawing would like this. Look at the texture and that granulated sugar effect against the dark brown color of the chocolatey fudge. Delicious.
I drew the crinkle first and would do an overlay of Kumieo later. I focused on getting the colors and textures right for the crinkle. Each crack and the powdery effect of the dusted sugar coating.
Here you see her embracing the crinkle as if she were delighted and excited or thrilled because I might catch her stealing hahaha
When her colors are in place time to add some highlights on her body and clothes plus shadows. It was fun making this drawing out of my love the crinkles. I think I did it well and was never disappointed with the result.
