It feels just like yesterday when we ushered in the new year with loud laughters and joyful screams, and just like that, that same year is gradually coming to an end, what an incredible feeling. What a crazy year it’s been so far, a lot has happened in the last couple of months and here we are witnessing the last quarter of the year, with just few months left to round up the year. A big shoutout to everyone who has come this far, what a great privilege for you and I. The months of the year moved by so quickly that I completely lost track of it, i guess that’s one of the perks of being a tertiary institution student, as a student in any polytechnic or university, it’s normal and expected for time to pass by so fast, especially with the whole bulky workload of every semester, it’s just time consuming for real…
I remember that very day when I stepped my feet in the four walls of the federal polytechnic, it felt like a dream come true. It was on a Tuesday morning, January 7th to be precise, that day marked the beginning of my tertiary institution journey, and before I knew it i was preparing for the first semester examination which was scheduled to start towards the end of the third month. As an applied scientist, my examination lasted for three weeks with sixteen courses done within those three weeks. In a twinkle of an eye the second semester commenced and also just like that it was time to prepare for another examination…
The examination started earlier for students in applied science and lasted for almost three weeks because of random postponement, with fifteen courses done this time around. Just like that August was coming to an end. Now we are in the ninth month with 100 level done and dusted hopefully. Now you can also see why i said being a student just naturally speeds up the movement of the year…
HOW HAS THE YEAR BEEN???
Talking about how the year has been for me, honestly this year hasn’t been my best year. A lot of things happened to my family and i this year, what was lost this year was more than what we gained, but above all there was gift of life to be eternally grateful for. I have never been much of an over-thinker but this time around i was forced to think overly deep, and only I knew how much it affected me but then i was still standing tall with so many things to be grateful for. I had my immediate elder brothers final year graduation to be thankful for, i had the completion of my 100 level to be thankful for, and that was more than enough to keep me motivated and excited…
This year might not have been my best year but there are over a thousand and one things to be grateful for. I have a couple of my friends to shout out to, man like Sammy, Leo, Lekan, Shile, and Shola, these guys really pulled up for me big time, they held me up when things was almost not working. I also had my realest gees in school, whom we all passed through thick and thin together, they remain the best, not leaving out my Big Brother EAGLE…
There are many things left to achieve before the year runs out. Like there’s literally a lot to achieve but then i am not the one to rush things, i move at my own pace with utmost determination and consistency. I believe everything is definitely going to turn out great, it’s just a matter of time…
In summary, i am looking forward to a lot of things this year and also at the same time anxiously waiting for 2026 to commence, can’t wait to get done with this my two year ND program. I need an indefinite break and i will only have that when i am done with my program…
In conclusion, this might not have been my best year so far, but then there’s still barely three months left to call this year a wrap, which means a lot of great things can still happen. Which i definitely hope and pray for. All i have to say right now is ALHAMDULILAH RABBIL ALAMIN for the months so far and INSHA ‘ALLAH for the remaining months ahead…
