Growing up, i always thought being FAMOUS meant that you’ve achieved something great in life. Like, i thought being famous meant you’ve achieved everything in the world, and that it is that one thing everyone want in life, not until a couple of years ago when i realized being famous doesn’t guarantee success, like it means nothing at some point, especially if it’s a fame that is acquired for the wrong reasons and actions. This topic actually made me remember one of my childhood wishes, I remember as a child I wished and prayed to be famous as a Medical Doctor, at-least this was a wish for a good fame, quite understandable. Imagine being famous for the wrong reasons, wrong reasons like theft and so many other crimes. At the end of the day, it is left to you to decide what you want to be famous for in your lifetime. Do you want to be famous for the right actions or for the wrong actions, choose wisely. The consequences of your choice is yours alone to face…
Now that i’m a grown up, i don’t think fame is the next thing for me, and that’s because of the different level of stress and headaches that comes with it. Don’t get me wrong guys, fame is definitely a good thing, especially if it’s a good fame, but then again being famous comes with so many disadvantages. Honestly, i think the Cons of fame outweighs the Pros, which means there are more disadvantages attached to it than the advantages. Now that i think about it, i don’t think being famous has any advantage at all, funny right? Lol…
Honestly, let fame just be on its own for now. What I want in life is just financial stability and good health. If I’m financially stable and hundred percent healthy, then everything else can wait. Too much of everything is bad, be it fame or anything. Every good thing has a downside, especially when it’s excessive, and that’s when it becomes unhealthy…
IS BEING FAMOUS NOW A GOOD THING FOR ME?
Honestly, fame isn’t what i need right now. Being famous doesn’t mean i’m there yet. Right now, i am just at my building up stage, i want to grow in the shadows, and when it’s time to shine, let my success and achievements do the noise making, and that’s when i won’t mind being FAMOUS…
What have i achieved yet to want to cast myself to the world, lol. Being famous now won’t be a good thing for both my family and I. The joy that comes with living lowkey is one like no other, take am play first. Once i become famous, every little thing about me will change, and sometimes these changes can be very overwhelming. Imagine not being able to patronize your favorite Amala spot because of some crazy fans. Oh yeah, that is one of the disadvantages of being famous…
Once you become famous, there’s nothing like living lowkey anymore. The moment you become famous, you automatically become the face of your family, which means whatever you do will have a direct impact on both your loved ones and families…
This is the big burden that comes with FAME. Honestly, i love my lowkey lifestyle right now. Nobody is going to come after me for doing something that is as normal as visiting the road side buka for their sumptuous meal…
In summary, fame is not what I need right now. What i need right now is financial stability and independence. When i have the funds, i will chase my dreams. And once i achieve my dreams and become that person i want to become in life, then fame can come knocking on my door, i’d open up. But right now? No, i won’t open my door when fame comes knocking…
In conclusion, at the end of the day, it all depends on what I’m being famous for. I will happily settle for a good fame and not otherwise…
