The last 24 hours has been very hard not just for me, but also for the whole students in my school ( FPI), and that to for just one reason; examination result. Oh yeah you read that correctly, the one reason behind this whole messy situation right now is our SECOND SEMESTER RESULT. Oh yeah, you heard that correctly, our second semester examination result was released yesterday. This particular date is a day many of us have been looking forward to for quite sometime now, especially me. I have been anxiously looking forward to this particular day for just one reason. I want to see the result of that particular examination I studied for like a mad man to get done some months ago. This is not a joke, neither is it a prank of any sort. This curiosity has been killing me for many weeks now…
Honestly, it would have been much more better and easier if this results were released a week after the completion of our examination. Atleast all these current stress and anxiety would have been a thing of the past, but then we just had to wait for months before it could be released, and yesterday happened to be the release date of our second semester examination result; NOVEMBER 5…
I won’t deny it, the last 24 hours has been very brutal for many of us, and that’s because the last concluded examination was a very tough one. It was tougher than the first semester examination. If not for my back to back consumption of caffeinated drinks, I don’t think I would have been able to stay awake for all those midnight candles i burnt. I had my best caffeinated drink; Fearless to keep me company throughout the duration of the exam… This particular drink really came through for me countless times, it kept me awake for the whole examination…
I know its excessive consumption is bad for the health, but then it was the only drink that could help me burn the midnight candle successfully. Since the time I woke up yesterday, that should be around 3-4am Nigerian time zone, i have been wide awake on the school portal trying to check if the results have been uploaded…
I tried a couple of times and was still getting the usual unavailable results error message, then i remembered how it was for the first semester. The students were able to access their respective portal at noon to check their results on the website, while some had to wait hours and the others days to access it for one reason or the other…
I on the other hand have been on my portal, refreshing nonstop to see my fate in 3D, but then i keep getting the same error message. This went on throughout the entire morning until around 3pm in the afternoon when one of my coursmates dropped in the school cruise chat that he had seen his result, with visual proof…
Seeing this made me rush to my portal again, but then this time it was either a slow load or a server downtime. I have been operating on both the school portal and app all day yesterday with no positive results. I had to give up to try again by midnight, since the site would be much freer than it was before throughout yesterday…
In summary, I hope I don’t get heartbroken after it eventually opens later today. I am planning to check it in a couple of minutes from now. I know i am not the only one with this plan, which means there are thousands of other students like me from my school on that same portal. I might see my results now or maybe later…
I am nor really scared, although I have been seeing some crazy drops in GPAs and CGPAs in the last couple of hours. We never can tell, I might be among them, even the girl with the highest GPA in my department first semester came down a little bit last semester, so who am i, lol..
Anyways all is good. I’m trusting on God for the best…
