THE STORY OF ALEX…

Alex was more than just a pet to not just me but to a lot of people who knew him personally. I remember the day he was brought home like it happened yesterday, he was a sweet puppy, he looked so cute and happy in his mixed hair color. Alex was a mixed breed, he was a product of a Rottweiler and a German shepherd, and that’s why he was called a mixed breed. He possessed the qualities of both breed. His ears falls and fold like that of a Rottweiler and his brown and black hair hails from a German shepherd. This was his unique external features. He was an active dog, he was lively, fun, friendly and lovable, especially to those he is close with…

Alex wasn’t only loved by friends, neighbors and families, he was also loved by the hood. The way he walks, barks, and wag its tail when being taken on a stroll without causing nuisance or distress to the people around is something many people loved. He was so easy to relate with. He is a force to be reckoned with when he is in his territory, once he is outside for a stroll, he is more calm and relaxed. He walks with confidence, i have always known him to be fearless. He doesn’t bark unnecessarily, he barks at the right time, especially when he senses danger or threat. This is Alex for you…

So with that habit of mine, I don’t think being all touchy with pets is a good idea, and that is why I avoid being overly touchy with them. If I eventually touch any pet, especially dogs, I immediately wash my hands before I forget, that way i will be to avoid the story that touches the heart…

I am sure you all must be wondering why i have been referring to Alex in the past. Oh yeah, Alex is now a past tense, we lost him a couple of months back to an illness i think. The last time i saw him, he had recovered quite well from his sickness. He was relocated after recovery, after he left our company, we got a couple of his pictures with his new family, he was happy and looking healthy…

I was surprised to later hear the news of his passing from my elder brother months ago. I didn’t even know he had passed away. I thought he was living fine in his new home. Alex would be 7 years this year I think. He is that old, now you can imagine how strong the bond between us must have been. We spent almost 6 years together…

Alex was not just a dog, neither was he just a pet. He was a member of the family whom we loved and cherished dearly. I still think of him when i see his pictures on my old device. I miss him, fr…
