Hola amigos de esta hermosa comunidad. En este tiempo de estar lejos de la familia, recibí unas palabras que me llenaron el alma: mi sobrina me dijo “tía, a mi hermana le hiciste algo tejido y a mí no”. 🥹 Antes era distinto, uno estaba cerca y podía regalar cualquier detalle en cualquier momento, pero ahora la distancia hace que todo sea más difícil.
Ella me pidió una cartera de Hello Kitty, “solo la carita, con un lazo y la nariz amarilla”. Y justo se me dio la oportunidad de enviarle un regalito, así que con mucho cariño empecé a tejer, buscando cómo darle forma a lo que ella quería.
Para mí, tejer es más que un pasatiempo: es constancia, paciencia y práctica. Es una manera de desestresarme, de conectar conmigo misma y al mismo tiempo dar un pedacito de amor en cada puntada. Cada pieza tejida es única, porque no solo se hace con hilo y aguja, sino con el corazón.
Le agradezco a Dios por darme esta oportunidad de hacerle un detalle tan especial. Solo pienso en la emoción que tendrá cuando reciba su cartera. Cada puntada la hice imaginando su sonrisa y deseando que todo quedara hermoso para ella.

Hello friends of this beautiful community. During this time of being far from my family, I received words that filled my soul: my niece said to me, “aunt, you made something knitted for my sister but not for me.” 🥹 Back then it was different — we were close, and I could give little gifts anytime. But now, distance makes everything more difficult.
She asked me for a Hello Kitty purse, “just the face, with a bow and a yellow nose.” And I just happened to have the chance to send her a little gift, so with much love I started crocheting, trying to shape what she wanted.
For me, crocheting is more than a hobby: it’s consistency, patience, and practice. It’s a way to de-stress, to connect with myself, and at the same time give a little piece of love with every stitch. Each handmade piece is unique, because it’s not only made with yarn and a hook, but also with the heart.
I thank God for giving me this opportunity to make her such a special gift. I can only think about the excitement she’ll feel when she receives her purse. With every stitch, I imagined her smile and wished for it to turn out beautiful for her.
