⚓ Bajo la superficie de la historia | Beneath the Surface of History

🇪🇸 El pasado sábado 24 de mayo, en el marco del Día de los Patrimonios, tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar un lugar que desde que llegué a Valdivia me llamó profundamente la atención: el Submarino O'Brien.

🇬🇧 This past Saturday, May 24th, as part of Heritage Day, I had the opportunity to photograph a place that has intrigued me since I arrived in Valdivia: the O'Brien Submarine.

🇪🇸 Este submarino, que fue dado de baja en 2001, hoy descansa en la costanera como un museo flotante, silencioso testigo de la historia naval. Entrar en su interior es como viajar en el tiempo: pasillos angostos, controles intactos, literas diminutas y una atmósfera que te envuelve con una mezcla de respeto y asombro.

🇬🇧 This submarine, decommissioned in 2001, now rests on the waterfront as a floating museum — a silent witness to naval history. Walking inside feels like time travel: narrow hallways, preserved controls, tiny bunks, and an atmosphere that wraps you in awe and reverence.

🇪🇸 Lo curioso es que, a pesar de llevar más de dos décadas anclado aquí, muchos valdivianos nunca han ingresado a conocerlo. Y la verdad es que vale muchísimo la pena.

🇬🇧 Interestingly, even after being anchored here for over two decades, many locals in Valdivia have never visited inside. And honestly, it's truly worth it.

🇪🇸 Hoy les comparto una serie de fotos tomadas en su interior, donde traté de capturar no solo sus detalles técnicos, sino también esa sensación íntima y casi cinematográfica de estar dentro de una cápsula del tiempo.
