Our family headed by our Dad is prime example of good governance. It draws out the line to Do's and Dont's. It provides clear rules and structures for communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution, which helps to maintain unity. Following the rules and instruction never let our downfall, always helps to maintain dignity. Imagine a family, having no set rules, the situation worsens. The same logic applies to governance of the nation. Incompetency in governance may destroy the nation progress. This is beautifully explained in following Sanskrit lines ;
अराजकेषु राष्ट्रेषु धर्मो न ह्यवतिष्ठति |
परस्परं च बाधन्ते सर्वथा धिगराजकं||
Araajakeshu raashtreshu dharmo na hyavatishthati. Parasparam cha baadhante sarvathaa dhigaraajakam.
Araajakeshu = having no ruler, anarchic.
Raashtreshu = Kindgom, State.
Dharmo = religious austerity
Na = not.
Hyavatishthati = hi + avatishthati.
Hi = surely.
Avatishthati = exists, abides.
Parasparam = each other, reciprocally.
Cha = and
Baadhante = spoil, obstruct.
Sarvathaa = by all means.
Dhigrajakam = dhik + arajakam.
Dhik = shame upon, reprehensible,
Araajakam = anarchy.
i.e. In a nation where there is anarchy (lack of justice and governance due to the absence of an able ruler or king), righteousness vanishes because anarchy and bad governance worsen each other. Hence anarchy is absolutely condemnable.
Anarchy is bad for a nation because it represents the absence of government and governance, which inevitably leads to widespread disorder, chaos, social instability, and a breakdown of the rule of law. A government provides the framework for laws and their enforcement. In anarchy, the absence of these structures means no one is accountable, and there is no way to ensure justice or maintain public order. There is no effective mechanism for enforcing rules, resolving disputes, protecting citizens' rights, or maintaining public safety, resulting in increased conflict, economic collapse, and the loss of essential services that a government provides.
A well-defined governance system promotes accountability, strategic alignment, and effective leadership transitions, while mitigating issues. By all means such anarchy is to be reprimanded and condemned.
