Education is must in life. Education helps a person in many ways. It makes a person more refined, cultured, and knowledgeable, enriching their overall personality. Education not only helps a person in getting success and growth in life but in adversebsituation it helps a person standard firm to negate the outcomes. Citing the key role education plays in one's life, Sanskrit says ;
मात्रा समं नास्ति शरीर पोषणं,चिन्ता समं नास्ति शरीर शोषणं|
मित्रं विना नास्ति शरीर तोषणं,विद्या विना नास्ति शरीर भूषणं ||
Maatra saman naasti shareera poshanam. Chinta samam naasti shareera shoshanam. Mitram vina naasti shareera toshanam. Vidya vina naasti shareera bhooshanam.
Maatra = the right quantity and quality of nourishing food.
Samam = equal to or similar.
Naasti = non existent
Shareer = body.
Poshanam = nourishing.
Chinta = worries.
Shoshanam = withering, destroying.
Mitram = friend.
vina = without.
Toshanam = pleasing, satisfying.
Vidya = learning.
Bhooshanam = ornamant, adornment.
i.e. There is nothing like nutritious food in the right quantity for the proper nourishment of the human body, and there is nothing like being worried all the time that destroys the body. Without a good friend no one can be happy and satisfied and without education the ornaments that adorn the body are useless.
This proverb emphasizes the need for a balanced diet and a worry-free lifestyle for good health and the need for scholarship / education and making good friends for respect in society. All four of these are required to lead a fulfilling life.
In the above proverb, education is considered to be the "real ornament" of person because, like an ornament, it enhances life in both good times and bad.Education equips individuals with problem solving abilities to overcome personal and societal issues. An educated always get the respect in society. Acquiring knowledge and skills increases self-confidence and credibility, making individuals more capable and respected within their communities.
