A constant exposure to negativity may result in slow death to an individual. Many people are dying slowly due to negative friend circle. A positive friend always lead a person to live a happy life. Stress from negative social interactions is associated with a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, a major contributor to premature death. Our ancient Sanskrit have a deeper understanding on this and have explained following lines ;
अरिणा सह संवासाद्विषेण सह भोजनात् |
पाप्मना सह् सौहार्दान्मरणं प्रतिपद्यते||
Arinaa saha samvaasaadvishena saha bhojanaat. Paapmanaa saha sauhaardaanmaranam pratipadyate.
Arinaa = enemies.
Saha= with.
Samvaasadvishena = Samvaasaat + dvishena.
Samvaasaat = dwelling together with.
Dvishena = persons whom you dislike or hate.
Bhojanaat = dining with.
Paapmanaa = wicked and sinful persons.
Sauhaardaanmaranam = Sauhaardaan + maranam.
Sauhaardaan = friendship.
Maranam = death.
Pratipadyate = regarded as, considered as.
i.e. Living in the company of your enemies, eating with people who hate you, and making friendship with sinful and evil people, all these situations are like dying while being alive.
A person can experience a form of emotional or psychological death through severe depression, loss of hope, overwhelming anxiety, or other forms of mental illness that diminish their zest for life and their sense of being truly alive. This is where a positive atmosphere helps in leading life mindfully.
It has been observed that, people with negative mindsets tend to recover from sickness more slowly than those with a positive outlook. Chronic stress and negativity can weaken the immune system, making the body more susceptible to illness and less effective at fighting off infections. Negativity can lead to a slow, negative impact on health and life by triggering chronic stress, which elevates blood pressure and heart disease. This impairs immune function, making recovery from illness slower. It also manifests emotionally as depression and anxiety, and behaviorally as a lack of motivation, withdrawal from healthy activities, and a negative outlook that discourages self-care and fosters a cycle of worsening health and well-being.
