A person's inherent nature and their resulting actions and behaviors play a significant role in earning societal respect. I have seen many instances when a person gets angry with no reason and starts using abusive words. In yesterday blog, I shared a how the fickle nature of wicked person is hard to understand. Likewise the nature of a novel and illustrious is well respected in the society. Sanskrit have following to say in this regard :
वज्रादपि कठोराणि मृदूनि कुसुमादपि |
लोकोत्तराणां चेतांसि को हि विज्ञातुमर्हति ||
Vajraadapi kathoraani mrudooni kusumaadapi. Lokottaraanaam chetaamsi ko hi vigyaatumarhati.
Vajraadapi = vajraat + api.
Vajraat = the weapon of God Indra, know for its hardness.
Api = like.
Kathoraani = hard.
Mruduni = soft, gentle
Kusumaadapi = kusumaat + api.
Kusumaat = a flower.
Lokottaraanaam = unusual. exceptional.
Chetaamsi = is conscious.
Ko = who.?
Hi = surely.
Vigyaatumarhati = vigyaatum + arhati.
Vigyaatum = famous, known.
Arhati = entitled to, merited
i.e. The nature of great people becomes as hard as the thunderbolt of Devraj Indra and as soft as a flower as per the need in a very special way and because of this speciality they become respected and famous in the society.
A great individuals always know how to bring balance in their i herent qualities. Their "soft" nature often being a profound strength of empathy and kindness, and their "hard" nature indicates a resilience, discipline, and wisdom to navigate life's challenges. This duality nature allows them to be compassionate to others while remaining strong and adaptable in their own lives.
