Sanskrit have a similar perspective towards Destiny and say :
अलिरनुसरति परिमलं लक्ष्मीरनुसरति नयगुणसमृद्धिः |
निम्नमनुसरति सलिलं विधिलिखितं बुद्धिरनुसरति||

Aliranusarati = alih + anusarati.
Alih = bee.
Anusarati = goes after, follows.
Parimalam = fragrance,
Lakshmiranusarati = Lakshmih + anusarati.
Lakshmi = Goddess of wealth as per Hindu scriptures.
Nayagunasamriddhih = naya + guna + samrddhih.
Naya = prudence, wisdom.
Guna = talent, virtues.
Samruddhih = prosperity, riches.
Nimnamnusarati = nimnam + anusarati.
Nimnam = low ground, depth.
Salilam = water.
Vidhilikhitam = Vidhi + likhitam.
Vidhi = destiny, fate.
Likhitam = written, drawn.
Buddhiranusarati = buddhih + anusarati
Buddhih = perception. intuition, intellect.
i.e. Bumblebees are attracted to any fragrance and Goddess Lakshmi, the presiding deity of wealth, blesses only those thoughtful, virtuous and wealthy people. The movement of water is always towards the lower surface and the intelligence of a person depends on his destiny.
Intelligence is a powerful asset that can shape a person's life trajectory in various ways. Intelligence can significantly influence life outcomes, it is not the sole or absolute determinant of a person's fate. Intelligence is strongly associated with occupational success and can act as a 'key' for more complex, prestigious, and higher paying jobs.
