The people lifestyle is changing rapidly and so does the defination of relation. People focussing more on jobs and money has leaving behind all their relation friends behind. To share our own example, my elder sister lives in a different city, and my brother in different. During the festival of Rakshabandhan, none of us comes together. We sent the Rakhi via post to our brother. The dynamics of relation has changed, what used to be a family / sibling celebration now limited to more of a virtual celebration. This changing trend has already been highlighted in Sanskrit, It says ;
अरण्ये पुष्पिता वृक्षाः दूरस्थाने च बान्धवाः |
समृद्धेनापि किं तेन यः कालो नोपतिष्ठति ||
Aranye pushpitaa vrukshaah doorasthaane cha baandhavaah. Samruddhenaapi kim tena yah kaalo nopatishthati.
Aranye = a forest.
Pushpitaa = blooming with flowers.
Vrukshaah = trees.
Doorasthaane = far away places.
Cha = and.
Baandhavaah = relatives, friends.
Samruddhenaapi = harmonious growth or prosperity.
Kim tena = so what ?
Yahh = whosoever.
Kaalo = at the time
of real need.
Nopatishthati = na + upatishthati.
Na = not.
Upatishthati = be present at.
i.e. What is the use of having trees laden with flowers in a dense forest and relatives and friends living in far away places even if they are rich if they are not available to help at the time of need.
The verses stands true to most of us. Even though people are earning randomly, they unable to utilize them for themselves and for their family. The working opportunities made people to relocate to far away places. Making them restricted and bonded with work ethics. In process they are leaving behind the little fun of family togetherness.
The author, citing the example of a flowering plant deep inside the forest, which go unnoticed and untraceable related to the changing relation dynamics.
