- Today I want to share with you all the knowledge and new species of plants that I managed to find in the mountains, besides having the opportunity to do a therapeutic hike, which always helps to release the stress of our day to day life.

- El día de hoy quiero compartirles todos los conocimientos y nuevas especies de plantas que logré encontrarme en las montañas, además de tener la oportunidad de hacer una caminata terapéutica, que siempre ayuda para liberar el estrés de nuestro día a día.

As we can see in the pictures, we are in rural areas where we can find several areas of crops, for that reason we can find horses and other animals that are common on farms. I also found this small lake, which is possible that it could be artificial by the owners of the farm, but I am not 100% sure.

Another of the curiosities that I want to mark is that I managed to photograph a ladybug, although it may not seem very important, there are many facts that many do not know, for example they are a voracious nature pest control, if you thought it ate plants let me tell you that this small insect is a predator, but one of the great even we can get to say that it is one of the most voracious predators in nature, an adult ladybug can consume between 50-200 or more aphids, and in its larval stage can consume 50-150 aphids, mites or other small insects. Having a great function in farms, since those types of insects are a pest in crops, and here we have a controller without fear of consuming the crops.

Como podemos apreciar en las fotografías, nos encontramos en zonas rurales donde podemos encontrarnos con varias zonas de cultivos, por esa razón podemos encontrarnos caballos y otros animales que son comunes en las granjas. También me encontré con este pequeño lago, que es posible que pueda ser artificial por los dueños de la granja, pero no estoy 100% segura.

Otra de las curiosidades que quiero marcar es que logre fotografiar una mariquita, aunque no parezca muy importante, hay muchos datos que muchos no conocen, por ejemplo son un control de plagas de la naturaleza voraz, si pensabas que comía plantas déjame decirte que este pequeño insecto es una depredadora, pero una de las grandes incluso podemos llegar a decir que es uno de los depredadores más voraces en la naturaleza, una mariquita adulta puede llegar a consumir entre 50-200 o más pulgones, y en su estado de larva puede consumir 50-150 pulgones, ácaros u otros insectos pequeños. Teniendo una gran función en las granjas, ya que esos tipos de insectos son una plaga en cultivos, y aquí tenemos una controladora sin tener miedo de que se consuman los cultivos.

Cistus symphytifolius. A pine-tree agave, this is a shrub native to the Canary Islands. You might be wondering what it's doing here? Well, it's common in Portugal for species from other parts of the world to integrate into nature, with humans being the responsible party. However, this plant is not a pest, so its integration did not negatively affect local species.

Lavandula pedunculata. También en la naturaleza nos encontramos una planta aromática que es común verlo en nuestros hogares o supermercados. Se trata de la lavándula que tiene un olor perfumado a lavanda, por lo cual es común que en la industria lo utilice en perfumes, velas, jabones, productos de limpieza, etc.

Cistus symphytifolius. Amagante de pinar, se trata de un arbusto de origen de las islas Canarias. ¿Pensarás qué hace aquí? Pues es algo común en Portugal que especies de otros lados del mundo se integraran en la naturaleza, siendo el ser humano el responsable; sin embargo, esta planta no es una plaga, por lo cual su integración no llegó a afectar de manera negativa a las especies locales.
* Roman road Here we find a small bonus that offered this hike, in the middle of the mountains I managed to run into an ancient Roman road, which according to the signs say that this route was built to have access to water in a fast and efficient way, because near this mountain as we can see in some photos we have the Atlantic Ocean in sight.

- Vía romana. Aquí nos encontramos un pequeño bonus que ofreció esta caminata, en el medio de las montañas logre toparme por una antigua vía romana, que según los letreros dicen que fue construido esta ruta para tener acceso al agua de una manera rápida y eficiente, porque cerca de esta montaña como podemos ver en algunas fotos tenemos el océano Atlántico a la vista.
