For this week of #Photofeed #portrait challenge I pulled from my roaster three portraits I took this summer and tinkered with the source files in Photoshop. (Thats my favourite sort of meditation!)
A few black-and-white conversions took me for as much as 15 minutes. Intresting to examine which version of the photo I prefer eventually -- after the job was done.
Guess the color one looks more rich and more attractive... at least for me personally. What will you say, which one you'd prefer?
Color one...
...and monochrome.
Well, this case was pretty easy to decide: no splendid color contrasts, everything pretty grey and shady - thus, I almost automatically jumped on the monochrome option here. It is quite contrast, detailed and convincing.
A young cyclist that posed me at the local velodrome. Colour version featured a lot of green and red tones that provided some great contrast to the black-and-white version. (Conversion done manually in Photoshop). Thats why here I cant tell which version looks more sympatico! Both work pretty well and convincing.
