Hello and good day everyone. I hope your all doing great today because in our science Lab last week, we conducted an experiment that was really awesome. It was not a normal school experiment. We just felt so like real scientists, gloved, with glass tubes ,and doing all the steps with care. Our professor announced the extraction of pigments from leaves to us. Initially, I was confused about the meaning of that. But soon, as we proceeded, I got the idea that it was like discovering the secret colors concealed within the plant,.

green leaves, were brought to the laboratory,. They did not look any different,, they looked just like. any other leaves that are always found outside and that people see every day. But the teacher says that among the various colors that are there inside. the green leaves, there are green ones too. My curiosity was at the .highest level as I am passionate about revealing hidden things. We, ground the leaves and then mixed them with the alcohol., The smell was very powerful and we had to be, very careful not to let it leak.. after a lot of Mixing and grinding the liquid was turned into a very dark green color. It was like swamp water or melted crayons! To me., it was a bit of chaos but also a fun activity. Sometimes science is messy but that is the reason it is exciting.

Next,. The green liquid was poured into a skinny glass tube. The tube resembled a mini tall cup. After that, we put it into a separate container full of special liquid, which was to aid in the separation of the colors,. We then waited and slowly observed. Initially, nothing occurred. Everything was just green. But after some time, we experienced something wonderful! the separation of colors took place,. one section got more intensive green color. The other part became yellow. It was like magic! But it wasn't magic. It was just a scientific process. The instructor informed the class that the colors witnessed were the chlorophyll and carotenoids. These are the plants pigmentss, responsible for the process of photosynthesis,. i was extremely pleased, as I had a breakthrough in my comprehension: Even the simplest things, such as a leaf,, could have a lot of secrets hidden inside.

My classmates were equally ecstatic. We took pictures and were grinning because it seemed to be a secret we had solved. The expressions “Wow! Look at that!” and “This is so cool!” were frequently heard. It was definitely the best experiment on our part. the First moment, of brightness made me think of sunshine and the second moment,. of dark green reminded me of thick forests. Nature showed its marvels to me and made me realize all over again that it is still full of wonders. The little things sometimes get overlooked but they are special though.

when we were done,.. We tidied up our table and gave back the materials. But the joy remained with us. I experienced that I was cleverer and more inquisitive. I came to know that. science is not only reading books and answering questions but also discovering and comprehending how the world works. i gained an important lesson that day: if you pay attention, there is always, something new to learn. Even in a plain leaf.

thank you so much for your time reading. I hope you enjoy so much here in thailand.
