Born in river's flow drifting like a bamboo raft solid yet emnpty.
This picture took me back to memories of bamboo rafting in the jungles of Thailand near to Chiang Mai. The landscape was very similar to that in this picture, sparking memories of what it felt like to drift down the river in the falling dusk with the cicada screaming and the sun streaming light onto the reflective surface of the water.
I remember thinking that life can be like a journey on a raft at the time... The Tao of Bamboo. This memory flowed into the Haiku I wrote, which I feel is a reflection on the unknowable flow of spirit.
Do you ever get that feeling of looking out at at something of which you can't quite grasp the meaning?
The whisper of a mystery, echoing through the cosmos.
These are some of the insights that arose while writing the haiku in response to this image.
