Greetings friends, with my best wishes that you are all well and that you had a great weekend. As for me, last weekend I had the joy of sharing moments with the most important person I have in this life: my mother.
After a long time, last Sunday we went for a walk to one of the places we most enjoyed visiting: the Morro de La Habana, and the Fortress of San Carlos de La Cabaña. This space is very beautiful and relaxing, and produces very pleasant sensations by allowing us to appreciate the ancient infrastructure of military fortifications from the Spanish colonial time in Cuba; and on the other hand, it offers the incomparable experience of contemplating the sea from the coastal cliffs east of Havana. On this occasion we first went inside the grounds of the San Carlos de La Cabaña Fortress. From there we had the wonderful views of the Bay of Havana from the outer wall of the fortress, on a prominent cliff. We also took the opportunity to observe the ancient architecture and some elements of ancient artillery that are now relics.
From there, going outside the enclosure, we headed towards the Morro, passing first by the Moat of the same, whose impressive depth motivated us to take some pictures from its top. And from there, finally, we spent some time by the sea, enjoying the peace it transmits and the incomparable experience of being together in that space and time lived.
All images are my own, captured with the camera of my Samsung Galaxy A7 cell phone.
