Our last destination before leaving Canada was Parksville. Parksville is a popular summer vacation destination for Canadians because of its beautiful beaches. I had been to Parksville once for a day trip, and the memories of that time were so good that I decided to stay overnight here.
Isn't this resort really Canadian?! Logs, fireplaces, forests, it's the Canadian resort I've always imagined. The resort we stayed at at this time was Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre.
Unfortunately, I did not experience the spa on this trip. However, there was such a large and nice bathtub in the room, so it was great to take a rest.
The resort has a small kitchen, which is great for cooking. Most of the cookware and utensils were there. I have never seen a resort with a kitchen before!
We drank wine all night in front of the fireplace. The air is nice everywhere in Canada, but the air in Parksville is especially clear and fresh. So, just breathing in the air in nature was a feeling of healing.
I didn't have high expectations for this resort, but after staying overnight, I'm happy and very satisfied. Next time, I want to stay a little longer and try the spa and try their restaurant as well.
