| Today, my entry for the #monomad challenge is going to be a little different from what I usually do. I wanted to share a series of photos that differ from what I normally show. I always take a few seconds to photograph someone from behind. I don’t know why, but I find these kinds of images especially interesting. I know that a frontal portrait can say a lot — the face, the expressions, the gaze... But I wonder, what does a person tell us when they turn their back? | Hoy, mi participación en el reto de #monomad va a ser un poco diferente a lo que suelo hacer. Quería compartir una serie de fotos distintas a las que normalmente muestro. Siempre me tomo unos segundos para fotografiar a alguien de espaldas. No sé por qué, pero encuentro este tipo de imágenes especialmente interesantes. Sé que un retrato frontal puede decir mucho: el rostro, las expresiones, la mirada... Pero me pregunto, ¿qué nos dice una persona cuando nos da la espalda? |

| At some point in our lives, we’ve all had to leave something behind. Yes, leave behind a job, a love, a family, or a certain comfort. But sometimes, we also leave behind a toxic relationship, a bad habit, or an illness. | Todos, en algún momento de nuestra vida, hemos tenido que dejar algo atrás. Sí, dejar atrás un trabajo, un amor, a la familia o alguna comodidad. Pero también, a veces, dejamos atrás una relación tóxica, un mal hábito o una enfermedad. |

| The past always remains there, waiting for us to look back at it once more. Sometimes it calls us with nostalgia, other times with pain, and sometimes simply with curiosity. But even when we turn our gaze backward, we are no longer the same as those who lived it. Perhaps that’s why I’m so drawn to photos taken from behind. Because deep down, we all walk forward — leaving behind people, places, and versions of ourselves — while the past quietly fades away behind us. | El pasado siempre se queda ahí, esperando a que lo miremos una vez más. A veces nos llama con nostalgia, otras con dolor, y otras simplemente con curiosidad. Pero, aunque volvamos la vista atrás, ya no somos los mismos que lo vivieron. Quizás por eso me atraen tanto las fotos de espaldas. Porque, en el fondo, todos caminamos hacia adelante, dejando algo atrás, personas, lugares, versiones de nosotros mismos, mientras el pasado se desvanece suavemente detrás de nosotros. |
