In today's world, where it is impossible to live without technology, we cannot live without it even for a day. However, I took a step back and spent 7 days without a phone, laptop, or television, reconnecting with nature. I went for a walk in the mountains. There was no signal there, so I didn't use any kind of technology; instead, many people helped me in that regard.
I followed all my routine exactly like my daily routine. I used to wake up early in the morning. I used to meditate in fresh water. I used to drink groundwater which came directly from the mountain, so with all these things I saw that my living style was improving a lot. So I thought, why not make it known to me now, and this time I will go there without any disturbance.
The hardest test was the first one when I had to check my phone every few days, but there was no wifi there. There was no internet connection. That hill was very high, so I was not able to do anything. Nothing worked out; it was very difficult, because it is my habit to check notifications and messages every 10 minutes, so it was very difficult on the first day. But gradually I got into a habit that I can stay without my phone for half an hour or an hour without touching it, so gradually I started doing local activities there. Like many children, I were playing there, so I started playing with them.
I started playing how the hill people walk on the mountain. The techniques are very different. Where we put a lot of effort to climb the hill, those people climb very simply and easily, so I learned that style. When I saw how they climb, I came to know that those people do not walk straight. They walk in a bent manner, so I learned that new thing. Then I saw how they live there. How do people live. The local travel people there, how do they live and survive there? I learned all this. I was also there for Puja, so I saw the Puja and saw what all happened in it; I experienced all these things there.
The next day, I woke up early in the morning because I did not have a phone or a laptop, so I had slept early the previous day. At the beginning of the day and the second day, the battery of my phone got completely drained, and there was no electricity. People there did not even know about the electricity supply. When I showed my phone to them, they were surprised by what the phone was and what kind of technology it was.
Those people are very different from the world, and they are now completely disconnected from the world. They don't know what is happening outside. What is happening there, or what is the new technology? They don't know anything, so this is a great advantage for them because they want to live there according to their wishes, and the second thing is that the people there are very simple. They like it very much that people from outside come.
They used to promote their culture, so they took great care of us. We stayed there for 3 days and had a lot of fun staying there, and the view of the hills, the sun view, the sunrise, and the sunset. All this will always be remembered because it was so natural, so fun, that I will remember the whole day's journey for the rest of my life. It was so toxic-free and so fresh that even if you were feeling sleepy, if you just breathe from there, your whole mind will become fresh, so all these things are the things that make nature real and tell why it is so good down there and why it is God's gift.
It was a great experience. It was an ultimate experience for me to stay in the village because I was having so much fun. Living with the people there, understanding their culture and the people who enjoy playful moments together. It was a lot of fun to see the people who dance on the wooden platform at night, and the experience of those people was so ultimate that I had so much fun that if I get another chance in life, I will go there. My phone was switched off, otherwise I would have taken a lot of photos.
Lastly, I would like to say that if you ever get a chance to stay in a place where you enjoyed a lot, then you should immediately go to that place where you can get close to the ground. Yes, it is important for you to have a local guide who can help you understand the culture because the local people speak a different language.
I went to Odisha. In this place, they have their language, so it is very important to take a guide. So if you take a guide, he will help you. He will do everything and is also very budget-friendly. That is why I would like to say that if you go there, you will enjoy it a lot. You will get very nice places.
You will be completely disconnected from social media or any social app; you just have to go there and enjoy nature. You will be able to see all the original things of nature there. Like many animals, birds, and insects, they eat food there. The culture of that place, the way of living there. You will not get to experience all these things anywhere else, so I would also like to say that if you ever get a chance in the same place again, you should visit it. I have met the people there. You will enjoy the ways there.
