CRITICANDO LUGARES NUEVOS DE SAN CRISTOBAL|CRITICIZING NEW PLACES IN SAN CRISTOBAL[ESP/ENG]

WOW hace exactamente 4 meses que no escribía nada por aquí, pero estaba acumulando aventuras para poder mostrarles. Sé que este sitio llamado Santa Cruz ha tenido buenos comentarios y probablemente ya lo has visto, ya que es un sitio muy turístico y a tan solo 25 minutos de la ciudad puedes ir a disfrutar con tu familia de un bonito paisaje y de animales exóticos sin pagar entrada. Pero dentro de una de las cosas que podemos criticar es la manera en como tienen a los animales, algunos más cuidados y otros no tanto, si bien es un poco raro que animales originarios de países con climas tan diferentes que Venezuela se puedan encontrar en tantos sitios ahora y en especial en este genera en ellas muchos cambio como un pelaje feo y hasta mal olor si no son cuidados de la manera adecuada. Estos amiguitos que ves en las fotos no solo recorren todo el sitio, lo cual es algo divertido, pero algo que no es tan divertido es el mal olor que tienen. Están allí para cumplir con la atracción de "granja de contacto" pero aunque amo tanto a los animales, fue difícil tocarlos. El avestruz que quedaba (porque anteriormente había más) estaba un poco llevada por las condiciones tan malas: exceso de barro, mucho sol y niños gritando y dándoles comida que no es apta para ellos. Pero lo más triste y fue algo a lo que no pude tomarle foto fue a un mono que tenían en una jaula de unos 60 cm de cada lado y a quien le di un poco de agua, pues no tenía. Me parece muy triste que los animales estén destinados a pasar por estas cosas y que encima lo veamos como algo divertido, aunque dentro del sitio ellos en su mayoría están libres, pasan por las peores situaciones, son perseguidos por niños y adultos y hasta maltratados para entretenimiento. Me preocupa enormemente que más sitios como este se estén abriendo en la ciudad, no está bien que la diversión esté en los animales teniendo unos paisajes tan bonitos. Pero no todo fue tan feo. Dentro de las cosas bonitas que tiene Santa Cruz es su vista a la ciudad, su clima perfecto y las opciones que hay en el sitio para comer y hospedarse.

WOW, it's been exactly four months since I last wrote anything here, but I've been saving up adventures to show you. I know that this place called Santa Cruz has had good reviews and you've probably already seen it, as it's a very touristy spot and only 25 minutes from the city, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and exotic animals with your family without paying an entrance fee. But one of the things we can criticize is the way they keep the animals, some better cared for than others. Although it's a bit strange that animals native to countries with climates so different from Venezuela's can now be found in so many places, especially here, it causes them many changes, such as ugly fur and even a bad smell if they are not cared for properly. These little friends you see in the photos not only roam the entire site, which is fun, but something that is not so fun is the bad smell they have. They are there to fulfill the attraction of a “petting zoo,” but even though I love animals so much, it was difficult to touch them. The ostrich that was left (because there used to be more) was a little worn out by the poor conditions: excessive mud, too much sun, and children screaming and feeding them food that is not suitable for them. But the saddest thing, and something I couldn't take a picture of, was a monkey they had in a cage about 60 cm on each side, and I gave him some water because he didn't have any. I find it very sad that animals are destined to go through these things and that we see it as something fun, even though most of them are free within the site, they go through the worst situations, are chased by children and adults, and even mistreated for entertainment. I am very concerned that more places like this are opening in the city. It is not right that entertainment should come from animals when there are such beautiful landscapes. But it wasn't all bad. Among the beautiful things Santa Cruz has to offer are its view of the city, its perfect climate, and the options available for eating and staying. Tell me, would you go for the views or the animals?
