Estaba un poco perdida, pero he vuelto para hablarles un poco más de mis pequeños pero entretenidos paseos por mis pueblos.

El lugar en donde vivo tiene la particularidad de poseer un Parque Nacional, el cual es una reserva natural donde abundan miles de especies de plantas y animales.

Les hablo del Parque Nacional Chorro del Indio este parque se encuentra ubicado al este de la ciudad de San Cristóbal en Táchira, Venezuela, en la sierra La maravilla.

Su clima es extraordinario, perfecto para dar paseos a quienes nos gusta el frío. Tiene una temperatura entre los 12 °C y los 23 °C y tiene una altura de 2600 msnm.

Este lugar es muy concurrido por las personas que viven en la ciudad y por los turistas, ya que es muy seguro para salir a caminar. El lugar cuenta con caminerías, rutas de ciclistas y paradores turísticos donde comer y beber.

Por aquí les dejo una fotografía con un amigo de Suecia al que le encanta venir de paseo a nuestras montañas, puesto que en ellas puedes encontrar hermosas orquídeas que son muy llamativas.

También me podrás ver a mí disfrutando de los pequeños pozos que se forman en el camino, donde el agua helada que baja por la montaña cumple una excelente función para tonificar, liberar estrés y evitar los malos procesos circulatorios.

En la cima del chorro del indio se encuentran restos de una avioneta que se estrelló allí en el 2003, donde lamentablemente murieron 3 personas. Existen personas que han caminado hasta ese punto, pero el camino ha sido bloqueado para evitar más accidentes.

Recuerdo que cuando estaba pequeña tenía un poco de miedo de subir al chorro del indio, ya que existía una vieja leyenda donde decían que si subías hasta la cima te ibas a encontrar con el espíritu del indio y nunca más podrías regresar.

Pero realmente la leyenda donde se origina el nombre de la cascada es de una historia en donde dos jóvenes de diferentes etnias indígenas se enamoraron, pero cuando el cacique padre de la joven se enteró mató al novio de su hija y esta lloró tanto que se formó la cascada.

At the top of the Chorro del Indio there are remains of a small plane that crashed there in 2003, where 3 people unfortunately died. There are people who have walked to that point, but the road has been blocked to avoid more accidents.

I remember when I was little I was a bit afraid to climb the Indian's jet, as there was an old legend where they said that if you went up to the top you would meet the spirit of the Indian and you would never be able to return.

But really the legend where the name of the waterfall originates is from a story where two young people from different indigenous ethnic groups fell in love, but when the cacique father of the young woman found out he killed his daughter's boyfriend and she cried so much that the waterfall was formed.
