Marriage is a social bond. Every one of us has various dreams and plans about it. But it only happens among unmarried boys and girls. Everyone wants to spend their whole life with the person of their dreams. Some people try to find the person of their hearts on their own, while others find it from their families. Everyone wants to spend their post-marriage life happily. But sometimes there are exceptions. Anyway, my friend Iqra's wedding was on the 22nd. I will share the moments of that wedding ceremony with you. *** Last month, my friend called me one day and said, Russell, my wedding is on the 22nd of next month, you must come. Since I am not getting married to my friend, how can I go? I said, okay, I will try to go. The girl I am getting married to is also our friend. We studied at the same time. But the girl's department was different. They had been in love since before their college days. That is, both of them liked each other. Since then, their families also came to know about this. They made the family understand, at one time both the families accepted this relationship. However, they did not get married at that time. Because both of them were studying. We used to tease each other all the time, saying, Iqra, get married now and how much love we will have. You saw in the last post that I also did some shopping for this wedding.  *** Friday, the 22nd, was the wedding day. A few of us friends were going to the wedding. I called in the morning and I did not know what time we would have to go. My friend told me that after Jumma prayers, they would leave to go to the girls' house.  Six of our friends were invited to the wedding. Two of us work. One of us could not take leave from the office, so he could not go to the wedding. And I took one day off and the weekly holiday was two days. Two days before the wedding, we discussed what gifts to give at the wedding. Everyone said let's give a dinner set. Then everyone gave one thousand taka each. I also sent my money to Bikash. On Thursday night, a few of us went to Kushtia and bought a dinner set and wrapped it in gift paper. Even after buying the dinner set, I still had some money left. With that, I bought another gift the next day. That was a bed sheet for the bed. I bought a gift worth about 6 thousand taka. ***  ^Gift *** I went home on Thursday night. On Friday, I offered Jumma prayers in the area. Then, I came home, got dressed and got ready for the wedding party. I went to my friend's house in a van from my house. It takes about 20 minutes to go from our house to my friend's house. Their house is in Kumarkhali town. And the house of the girl I'm getting married to is also in Kumarkhali town. I don't have to go far. When I got home, I saw my other friends coming too. Then I started looking for the groom and his friend. My friend and I were originally going to go on a motorcycle. My friend was going in his car. The car was decorated with flowers. So we turned around and followed the groom's car. It took about 15 minutes to go from the groom's house to the girl's house. When I went to the girl's house, I saw that the gate was decorated and she was standing in front with a tray of sherbet. First, her mother-in-law put a gold chain around the groom's neck. A separate beautiful place was made for the groom to sit. Where it was written groom's seat. We friends sat with a friend on the groom's seat and took pictures. Then we went to see the girl. We went and saw that the arrangements were ready. When we went downstairs, we saw that the Qazi Sahib had started the wedding preparations. After the wedding preparations, everyone was given dates to make them look sweet. Now we went to eat and drink. The food menu for the groom's passengers was different. Polao, white rice, beef, fish, daul, sweets, zarda, curd, salad. And there were drinks. We five friends sat down to eat together at one table. After finishing the food and drink, we left before the wedding. I had some work in the market, for which I told my friend. An hour after I left, the groom came home with his wife. After the evening, I went to my friend's house again. ****   Many of our friends' batch got married, but no one went to their wedding. This time, I felt very good going to a friend's wedding.
